Verizon Wireless Local Consumer Marketing Consultant, Pacific Northwest in Irvine, California

What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of traffic-driving marketing efforts for retail and local agent locations including local events and sponsorship activations across the market. You will work closely with retail leadership to evaluate opportunities, build end-to-end programs and develop measurement criteria.

  • Partnering with go-to-market on the execution of promotions and launches and providing hyper-local competitive insights and market condition analysis.

  • Identifying strategic opportunities and providing recommendations to drive growth and awareness of national and local marketing pillars that focus on identified market segments.

  • Leveraging social media drivers as a key component to targeting the local market and amplifying sponsorship activation.

  • Keeping the customer experience at the forefront of all programs, activations and implementations.

You have a strong event management background and are comfortable owning all aspects of the process. You are organized and can communicate with clarity and vision. You enjoy forging partnerships, finding win-win solutions and are able to see the world through the eyes of others. Marketing is your passion and you’re excited to tell the world about everything we offer.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Events/marketing experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree.

  • Five or more years of relevant events/marketing experience.

  • Direct knowledge of the Pacific Northwest markets.

  • Background in sponsorship management from the team, partner or agency side.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and within tight timeframes.

  • High level of proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.

  • Problem-solving and negotiating skills.

  • Knowledge of the wireless industry and all Verizon Wireless programs, products, services and pricing.

  • Organization and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Effective presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
