Verizon Wireless Principal Solutions Architect in Irvine, California

What you’ll be doing...

You will work with our customers, as a trusted advisor, to create value for Verizon and our customers by solving their business challenges. You’ll bring a consultative selling approach and become a technical expert in emerging technologies for our customers and your peers. Your role is critical to establish Verizon as the premier technology business partner.

  • Work with customers on complex, custom, and transformational business engagements which leverage Verizon’s assets, services, and partner ecosystem to drive business outcomes. Win market share in strategic target areas.

  • Developing and providing expertise in all emerging technology offerings, products, and services such as One Talk, Grid Wide, and Asset Management while effectively supporting sales efforts with technical presentations and demonstrations at industry events and customer meetings.

  • Engage in qualified market opportunities: provide domain expertise, architect solutions, oversee contract lifecycle for maximum profitability, and drive to close. Provide guidance for responses to RFI/RFP/RFQs.

  • Execute on go to market and business development initiatives tied to the commercial launch of advanced solution sets, professional services offerings, and platform strategies.

  • Ensure speed to market (contribution to cash flow) for emerging technologies.

  • Initiate and execute demand generation and collaborative customer facing sales activity with field teams, marketing, and partner channels to drive adoption of IoT and advanced services both internally and externally.

  • Developing deep relationships with your customers while getting to know their businesses, markets, and the challenges they face.

  • Act as voice of the customer with regard to the viability of the existing advanced solutions portfolio. Ensure customer success criteria and ROI justification is identified and met.

  • Anticipate impending market demand and advise the national business segments organization of opportunity for future service offerings and a path to year on year business growth.

What we’re looking for...

You enjoy digging deep to really understand the customer’s vision along with their unique situation and challenges. You like putting things together in new and creative ways to best solve the customer’s most pressing needs.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Technical Sales experience.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • The drive to meet or exceed challenging sales targets.

  • A track record of building a sales pipeline and meeting targets.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively position new ideas.

  • Persuaded and negotiated to create desired outcomes.

  • Technical sales experience with WAN data communications, wireless networks and apps that use wireless technology.

  • Excellent speaking and writing skills to convey complex solutions to all types of audiences.
