This position provides administrative and logistics support for a national service and support team. Serves as a resource on projects and work assignments as directed Power Generation Service and Support leadership. Is skilled in desktop software (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint), an ability to work through change efficiently and effectively communicate, is self-motivated to drive improvements in process.

Specific expectations for the Western region -based PROJECT COORDINATOR to include:

  • Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve issues.

  • Assists with managing risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk.

  • Actively monitors accounts receivable and works with regions and invoicing teams to resolve A/R issues.

  • Monitors credit limits and works with Cummins Credit Managers as needed.

  • Responsible for Uploading documents into customer specific portals.

  • Ensures that contract notes and information are kept up to date in OneDrive/Sharepoint Connect Page.

  • Assists with answering internal questions surrounding invoicing and other administrative tasks.

  • Submits new account requests, works with regions to ensure equipment and schedules are set up accurately.

  • Assists account manager with information mining on the specific contracts.

  • Completes reporting and tasks specific to certain customers, as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Demonstrated experience using desktop software (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • College, university, or equivalent degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years related project experience (within a Service and/or Sales functions preferred).

Skills

  • Issue Management- Aware of the steps to develop and manage change, including issues and risks.

  • Scope Management- Solicits and organizes customer requirements (Voice of the Customer), and tracks the status of project deliverables. Uses a Value Package Profile (VPP) or other appropriate scope-defining document, and manages change. Manages the connections between multiple levels of scope detail in related additional documents (e.g. Tech Profiles or equivalent documents).

  • Schedule Management- Develops and maintains a cross-functional schedule. Proficient at one or more schedule management tools. Knows the right level of detail needed to use the tool effectively.

  • Resource Plan Management- Aware of the steps to develop and manage a cross-functional resource plan.

  • Business Planning/Strategy- Familiar with tools for financial analysis and its relevance. Knows when, where, and how to get assistance.

  • Cross-Functional Knowledge- Understands the basic high-level tasks for each functional area.

  • Project Risk Management- Understands the basics of risk identification, analysis, and mitigation.

  • This role can be located at either our Renton, WA, Portland, OR, or Irvine, CA location
