What you’ll be doing...
You will be part of a value team in the SAFE agile model ensuring that the agreed Agile process is being followed. You will also help remove obstacles and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement to create value in the value streams.
Exhibits Lean-Agile leadership and helps the team embrace SAFe Core Values, adopt and apply SAFe Principles, and implement SAFe practices.
Reinforces the team rules, such as the rules of Scrum, Built-In Quality practices from Extreme Programming (XP), Work in Process (WIP) limits from Kanban, and any other process rules the team has agreed.
Facilitates the team’s progress toward team goals to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity, helping the team focus on daily and iteration goals in the context of current Program Increment (PI) objectives.
Leads team efforts in relentless improvement by promoting improvement, accountability, and developing problem solving techniques.
Facilitates all team meetings, including (where applicable) the Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, and Iteration Retrospective.
Supports the Product Owner manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.
Eliminates obstacles so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Iteration.
Promotes SAFe quality practices to assist the teams in constantly improving the quality of their deliverables and meeting the Definition of Done (DoD).
Fosters the culture of technical discipline and craftsmanship that is the hallmark of effective Agile teams.
Builds a high-performing team.
Communicates with management and outside stakeholders to help manage workloads.
Helps coordinate inter-team collaboration and helps the team operate well on the train.
Coordinates with other teams, typically as the representative in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS) meeting, and passes information from that meeting back to the team.
Coordinates with the System Team, User Experience, Architecture, and Shared Services.
Facilitates preparation and readiness for ART events, including PI Planning, System Demos, and the Inspect and Adapt.
Guides the team in establishing normalized estimates and helps the team understand how to estimate features and capabilities.
Guides the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
Guides the team on self-organizing to fill intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
Assesses the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
Assists with internal and external communications, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Supports and educates the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience as a Scrum Master for mid- to large-scale projects.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Management or Computer Science or a relevant field.
Two or more years of experience in the Scrum Master role for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Good skills and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellent problem-solving ability.
Ability to manage and execute competing tasks and multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management.
Experience with Google Sheets, Slides, Drive, Calendar and Mail.
Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Jira.
Ability to be a strong driver and communicate and coordinate with all sorts of personalities.
Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach.
Telecom experience with network technologies.
Applicable knowledge of the IT technologies used by the team.
Willingness to travel.
