Current Need

McKesson is seeking a Sr. Manager, Portfolio Strategy to join the Marketing team in the new Las Colinas office in the Dallas, TX area.

Position Description

• Assess and develop market, customer and product needs for programs and services for pharmacies that may reside in hospitals and health systems, retail, long term care, infusion, specialty or others.

• Oversee product portfolio, portfolio roadmap and product life cycle (from concept to sunset)

• Analyze market size/ opportunity and assess competitive landscape

• Build and implement strategies for customer targeting and increasing market share

• Build business strategies, business cases and roadmaps for products, programs and services

• Develop and utilize channels for engaging customers’ feedback in development of product, programs and advisory services

• Serve as subject matter expert for field sales team and customers

Minimum Requirements

5 years of marketing experience including 2 years managerial experience

Critical Skills

5 years of portfolio strategy and product lifecycle management experience.

• Must have Upstream Marketing experience.

• Exceptional ability to develop product strategies/business plans and turn that vision into reality

• Strong ability to size up market opportunity and give a market assessment based on customer product requirements

• Experience in product concept development and commercialization

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Consumer Packaging Goods experience preferred

Pharmacy background a plus

• Creative problem solver who can deliver mutual wins

• Ability to drive a long-term strategy based on competition, market dynamics and emerging technologies

• Extraordinary written and oral communication skills

• Ability to present to and influence customers

• Passion for taking on complex product areas with multi-faceted competitive industry landscape

• Proficient at managing multiple projects with tight and often competing deadlines

Education

4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
