Verizon Technical Project Manager in Irving, Texas
What you’ll be doing...
Our ability to deliver projects on-time and on-budget is critical to driving innovation for our customers. You’ll work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to help them manage multiple deliverables and stay on track. When expertise in project management is required, you will be there to assign responsibilities and set goals to maintain project momentum and achieve your team’s desired outcomes.
Collaborating with assigned teams to understand product definitions and feature scope, develop project timelines, and communicate commitments and project-related decisions.
Facilitating scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and help with release management activities.
Summarizing project information into easy to understand communications that keep everyone in the loop and on track.
Driving process improvements and adopting best practices to improve team performance.
Engage with product line managers, new product development, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders to define the requirements and roadmap- Translate customer requirements into product requirements, advocating best practices for Fios TV in areas related to business support and engagements- Drive new development initiatives from inception through launch including managing the product development launch process- Own the business execution plan for assigned programs, products and solutions, collaborating with product marketing and other teams for delivery of associated revenue and profitability goals- Identifying ongoing opportunities continued revenue growth and increased market share- Communicate program/product vision and strategies to varied audiences, including executives and cross functional teams- Provide subject matter expertise in VMS, IMG, Fios Mobile, Web and CE devices, Video Business Intelligence and Machine Learning, Ad Insertion management, 3rd party technology integration, Voice platforms, BHR, BHR, IPTV, and DevOps

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience as a Scrum Master, Project Leader and/or Project/Program Manager.
Experience in Software Engineering.
Even better if you have:
Understanding of agile and waterfall project management methods.
5-7 years of Product Management experience- Highly proficient in understanding FiOS Video platforms, BI, Ad Insertion Management, Voice Services, 3rd Party Integration and DevOps- Qualified candidate should be knowledgeable on how the Fios TV platforms are architected as well as how to design and integrate solutions into the framework- Candidate must have a full understanding of the impacts of any new feature on the existing operation and performance of Fios TV- Qualified candidate must be able to articulate customer needs internally so they can be translated into a finished product- Excellent communication and advanced presentation skills including demonstrated experience with executive level customer presentations- Proven ability to develop and implement processes and procedures designed to support strategic goals- Experience with Agile software methodologies and continuous deployment.- Strong product/program management skills and problem solving capabilities- Strong project management skills to execute on roadmap, moving a project from inception to completion- The ability to work on a team and independently on multiple high priority projects- Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution of differences with a “win-win” approach- Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field, MBA preferred
