The project manager (PM) has to be able to manage mission critical system maintenance and support projects and serve as a primary focal point for the the Customer. The PM must have sufficient knowledge and experience to direct, execute, and control all elements of a the project. The PM must be prepared at all times to present and discuss with the Customer PM &/or other Customer leadership the most current and realistic status of the contractual effort and to provide access to all pertinent records. The PM must be responsible for ensuring that the software & hardware support efforts are fully coordinated and seamlessly integrated with other project efforts.

This position is located in the Atlantic City, NJ area.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 2 years of experience managing FAA projects

  • Must live close to the customer site to allow for regular site visits

  • At least 10 years of experience deploying systems and support

  • At least 5 years of experience/understanding of the IBM maintenance support processes

  • At least 3 years of experience of maintenance support of IBM equipment that reached end of service

  • At least 10 years of experience in Project Management with understanding of IBM PM processes and systems

  • At least 5 years of experience in management of IBM and government project financial processes and reporting

  • At least 5 years of experience with PMO support

  • Ability to obtain an Moderate Risk Background Investitation (MBI)

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • 5 years of experience in project management with FAA experience

  • At least 15 years of experience planning, estimating, budgeting and tracking

  • At least 15 years of experience building communication and support plans

  • At least 15 years of experience defining process and procedures

  • At least 10 years of experience with service delivery management

  • At least 5 years of experience with management of IBM and government project financial processes and reporting

  • At least 5 years of experience with PMO support
