POSITION PURPOSE

The Email Marketing Specialist role will support the multifamily end market brand marketing team in the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns (print/digital) that create a positive image and support business goals.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 40% - Work with the Multifamily brand marketing team to execute marketing campaigns (print/digital) in a timely and accurate manner that will optimize customer experience, increase their retention/loyalty, drive revenue and generate prospective customer leads

  • 30% - Responsible for assigned marketing campaigns to promote products and services; analyze and report on campaign performance to develop insights to share with the team and for marketing plan refinement

  • 25% - Responsible for designated sales enablement support and related internal communications, including ongoing maintenance of marketing digital resource libraries; collateral fulfillment; employee promotional giveaways and monthly collateral report

  • 5% - Maintain marketing calendar and sales distribution list to support effective team operation

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

ENVIRONMENT:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

TRAVEL:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 3 years

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALICATIONS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling content that drives desired outcome/action

  • Analytical skills to interpret/draw insights from reporting

  • Proven ability to multi-task a variety of projects in a high production environment, with limited oversight

  • Ability to work well and communicate verbally with people at all levels, both internally and externally

  • Experience with marketing automation software such as Silverpop or Exact Target, or email marketing software such as Constant Contact or iContact

  • Experience with basic HTML development Execute email distribution based on universal email calendar.

  • Develop and monitor A/B Testing strategies on subject lines, call to actions, image vs. text, etc.

  • Partner with Content Team to ensure email effectiveness (relevant to target audience; copy brevity/accuracy; subject lines; brand appropriate) to ensure marketing message is conveyed clearly and accurately.

  • Partner with Creative Services to ensure all campaign designs meet requirements for conversion to HTML and in proper form/template.

  • Partner with Web Developer to ensure all campaigns are built according to specifications and render appropriately in mobile devices and across various email service providers (AOL, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.).

  • Provide HTML development support to Web Developer when necessary.

  • Monitor and direct email responses to appropriate team for follow up.

  • Provide support in monitoring and assessing relevant tracking metrics and provide insights and recommendations to improve email performance.

  • Develop content for automated programs and email marketing initiatives based on direction provided by Email Marketing Manager and Marketing partners.

  • Provide database maintenance support (purge non-deliverables; manage opt-outs, etc).

  • Provide strategic and technical support for automated programs and email marketing initiatives.

  • Provide support in maintaining list segmentation.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices

  • Recommend change to programs based on sound analysis

  • Sound business reasoning and the ability to use facts to make good decisions is required
