Oracle Program Mgmt Manager-Networking in Jacksonville, Florida

Manage people for product development programs or projects focused on the delivery of a product through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers.

Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Prefer one year of project management, product design or related experience.

The Physical Network Circuit Delivery team is looking for a Manager with expertise and passion for delivering network capacity for our customers. As a Manager you will lead a team of technical program managers responsible for the day-to-day delivery of circuits across the globe. Due to the nature of this space, this role will work across many Networking disciplines, as well as with external vendors.

In this role you will:

  • Select, develop, & manage a team of highly skilled technical program managers

  • Establish & report on a body of metrics that define our ability to deliver circuits

  • Assign and track circuit delivery workload

  • Collaborate with all appropriate disciplines to increase the efficiencies of the program

  • Define and document scope and workflows for the team

  • Define and deliver an annual roadmap

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available network environments (large cloud, ISP, or service provider)

  • 2 years experience managing Networking teams; experience managing technical program managers a plus

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in data center and/or service provider network environments

  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and people management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members

  • Project Management experience

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Substantial background in large-scale networks
