Job Description:

Responsible for developing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Global Markets environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as maintain corporate systems architecture. Employees work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. Employees typically have in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. Employees are expected to have in-depth global markets product knowledge, and manage a high level of risk. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Coordinates resources across various applications, operations or projects. Manages employees and makes all decisions on personnel actions including staffing, performance management and comp decision-making. Monitors progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Organizational Overview:

Bank of America Risk & Finance Technology (RFT) is responsible for end-to-end technology solutions working across Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer and organizations.

Role Overview:

The End to End Forecasting Program focuses on building an integrated process so that all our forecasting, whether stress for CCAR, baseline for strategic planning and any resolution scenarios are run on the same framework. Additionally, the team is responsible for the current Enterprise Stress Testing technical solutions and reporting platforms and capabilities.

This role requires an experienced and highly skilled professional to play an active role within the E2E Forecasting Program working with the front office Lines of Business, Finance, Treasury, Risk and Tax and other Technology teams within the bank. As an architect, the candidate will help create and manage business solutions to respond to these fast-changing requirements. The candidate will contribute to the software development lifecycle from inception stage through to the final implementation. The candidate would be required to work closely with the developers to define, build and test the solution to support Forecasting submission often working on multiple projects/work-streams at the same time.

Required Skills::

  • Has deep knowledge of business functions and excels leveraging this knowledge in the development of process level views of application portfolios.

  • Subject matter expert in technology and business and a thought leader for assisting senior technology or business leaders in determining the current and future direction in their area or related areas.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives, business requirements, and business environments to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.

  • Provides leadership and guidance on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives.

  • Has extensive & specific business knowledge e.g. Experience in Financial Planning/Forecasting, Stress Testing, Treasury, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Tax, as well as broad understanding of applications and systems. Translates business needs into technical requirements and ensures all systems conform to business needs and specifications.

  • Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor.

  • Extremely strong Comp Sci/STEM background - including advanced data structures, algos, OS, and virtualization techniques (15 Yrs+)

  • Strong grasp of security fundamentals

  • Experience in large scale enterprise application architecture and implementation

  • Creative individual with a track record of working on and delivering innovative tech based solutions

  • Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently
