What you’ll be doing...

As part of the Marketing Creative team, you will focus on working with the Digital Channel Creative Marketing team and partners on the Marketing Activation team, along with other internal and external partners across the organization to lead the digital channel creative for the consumer business.

You’ll partner with internal stakeholders and external teams, and be responsible for developing work across owned digital channels. You’ll work with the Digital manager to help lead the strategy and creative development to support digital branding and digital acquisition work across Verizon initiatives.

You will be responsible for working with the creative team to shape and develop the work, act as a key point person for the digital channel within the Creative Marketing Group. Having knowledge and experience working with digital platforms and emerging platforms is mandatory. You’ll need to be nimble, organized and strategic. A passion for marketing and the creative product is necessary. You'll will work closely with internal stakeholders, creative counterparts and project managers to ensure the creative work addresses business needs and meets creative excellence expectations.

  • Serves as direct point of contact for aligned projects and advises on options and capabilities utilizing marketing best practices and channel knowledge.
  • Maintains the “big picture” for projects and requirements ensuring that related deliverables are treated appropriately.
  • Evaluate project brief content for completeness and partner with team to identify key message and actionable content to build creative briefs that will enable the creative team to create on-target deliverables.
  • For Tier 1 projects involving multiple components, assists in strategic development, monitors “big picture” progress, and tracks major milestones.
  • Provides strategic counsel and develops a “trusted advisor” relationship with aligned stakeholders.
  • Partners with Manager and stakeholders to identify Tier 1 Creative Services/Marketing projects and goals, as well as expected Tier 2 and 3 needs, across a calendar year. Work closely with the creative group to staff, prioritize and plan to meet those needs; reviews and updates project plans at set intervals across the year.
  • Serves as the voice within the creative marketing team for the stakeholders to ensure the creative team understands requirements and perspective and that the final output aligns as appropriate.
  • Knowledge on products, audiences, and business objectives and collaborates with creative team to ensure they are applied to work.
  • Reviews products for quality, consistency, accuracy, and advancement of the visual and verbal brand in design reviews, and ensures that consistent image/message is conveyed across the work.
  • Attends sales, strategy, status, project kickoff, and other internal stakeholder meetings.
  • Appropriately balances creative needs, business needs, marketing standards, and brand identity.
  • Works with manager and extended team to develop departmental standard operating procedures, workflows and enhanced infrastructure.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Business.
  • Experience within the digital channel
  • Ability to write briefs, work closely with all disciplines within the creative marketing team and collaborate.
  • Experience with applicable applications and tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
  • Knowledge of traditional and emerging channels.
  • Knowledge of marketing best practices in the B2C and B2B fields.
  • Ability to gain deep knowledge in specific channels or vertical markets as required by specific business unit and larger organization’s industry.
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders to write thorough and actionable creative briefs.
  • States opinions clearly and can verbally update partners on project status.
  • Ability to leverage research and data to support business solution strategies.
  • Is pragmatic with creative business strategies, always keeping an eye on the objectives of the assignment.
  • Listens well and incorporates others viewpoints into the project management process.
  • Adept at crisis management, resourceful and solution-oriented.
  • Is an ambassador for the marketing department objectives and point of view on the Company’s brand and its visual and verbal brand identity.
  • Experience handling stakeholder requests and project management with accuracy, producing zero errors in work (all edits are implemented correctly; and specs, brand, deadlines, and budget were adhered to).
