Job Summary

Amentum is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor (Avionics).

Assist Aircraft Branch Flightline Supervisor in coordination with Aircraft Branch Manager, Production Supervisor, and maintenance training center provides technical directions to all assigned flightline personnel. Plan, track in Core Automated Maintenance System (CAMS) and schedule training for personnel to become proficient in maintaining aircraft assigned to the 89AW. Coordinates maintenance efforts with production supervisor and Maintenance Operation Control Center (MOCC) to ensure all mission scheduled aircraft are Fully Mission Capable (FMC).

Reviews aircraft records to ensure required maintenance has been performed, hourly and calendar tracked events are current, and all associated documentation has been accurately completed. Supervise an 18-man expeditor team of lead and senior mechanics that supervise all maintenance personnel on daily servicing, maintenance upkeep, cosmetic appearance (clean/wax interior and exterior), and accurately position SAM aircraft for launches.

Ensure personnel practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) awareness/prevention, and safety at all times. Ensure HAZCOM and HAZMAT pharmacy programs are followed according to the applicable directives. Review, evaluate, and take corrective actions based on quality assurance and the contractor officer representatives (CORS) reports and ensures corrective measures are implemented to meet contract requirements, improve maintenance quality, and prevent the development of adverse trends. Ensure aircraft 781 forms documentation and CAMS match.

Assist personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components. Also, ensure repairable parts are promptly processed through repair channels within the required time frame. Ensure ground safety measures are observed in servicing and ground handling (towing/taxiing) of all aircraft.

Provide continuous on-the-job-training (OJT) of maintenance personnel and new employees. Review status of training program and update the special certification roster when required. Receive and assist in cross-utilization training (CUT) of subordinates and is qualified to perform maintenance tasks associated with other classifications. Will assist in providing annual performance reviews for flightline personnel.

Perform other duties related to the occupational field as assigned, to include temporary duty (TDY) and travel assignments as required, fill-in as Lead Mechanic, and SAM-4 during manning shortages. Must be flexible to work day shift, night shift, and/or weekend shift as required.


Minimum Requirements

Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of applicable aircraft and general flightline maintenance.

Demonstrated knowledge of applicable technical publications and ability to accurately interpret technical data are required.

Must have valid A&P Certification/License.

Must have a thorough understanding of the SAM Mission.

US Citizenship required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance and flightline driver’s license.
