Do it here.What youll be doing...This Principal Storage and Virtualization Engineer role provides critical services to both internal and external customers. Youll oversee lifecycle aspects of multiple service environments, acting as the owner for those systems. Youll also understand and manage the interrelationships between the various products and the infrastructure systems. We take pride in our well-organized, well-documented, stable, and compliant infrastructure environments, and youll get to play a key role.+ Provide operational support on VMWare platform including vCenter, ESXi servers, server consolidation, Virtual Desktops to deliver Cisco Unified Communication and Collaboration solution.+ Configuration and management of Cisco SAN switches (e.g. Nexus, MDS switches).+ Configuration and management of data storage equipment (e.g. NetApp, EMC, etc.)+ Configuration and management of Ciscos Unified Computing System (UCS) Blades server and Hyperflex.+ System upgrade and patching of vCenter, ESXi host, N1kv, EMC SAN, Fabric Interconnect, Cisco Hyperflex, Cisco UCS Manager.+ Storage optimization, backups, capacity management/planning of EMC SAN and UCS environment.+ Provide datacenter virtualization expertise including capability to installation, configuration and management of HA and scalable virtual infrastructure in a geo-redundant environment.+ Plan, implement, administer virtual server configurations as well as configure and manage virtual networks and associated storage.+ Establish and maintain service levels; perform basic troubleshooting; monitor vSphere implementations.+ Provide input on data protection, access, authentication control, resource management, monitoring, high availability, fault tolerance and scalable virtualized infrastructure solution.What were looking for...You'll need to have:+ Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.+ Six or more years of relevant work experience.+ Six or more years of experience on Storage, Data Center virtualization and VMware solutions.+ EMC Storage experience and transport knowledge (FCoE, iSCSI, etc), replication, backup, and performance.+ Knowledgeof Cisco Unified Communication and Collaboration solution.+ Knowledgeof SSD, HDD, RAID, and SAS drive and controller design.+ Experience with VMware technologies, including ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, VM Replication, vMotion, VM Backup and Recovery.+ Experience with the various components of VMware Enterprise.+ Experience writing automation (preferably Ansible, PowerCLI and/or Powershell).+ Experience in large, highly available enterprise class virtualized environments.Even better if you have:+ A degree.+ VCAP or VCP certification or equivalent experience with certification completion in progress.+ Experience in scripting languages (PS,Python,JS,Shell).CompensationOur benefits are designed to help you move forward in your career, and in areas of your life outside of Verizon. For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for this position is between $93,900 and $191,800 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
