Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Job Description:
Leidos is hiring a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support simulation development for Advanced Air Defense System architectures.
The candidate will use good people skills and strong technical capabilities to collaborate with a technical team of engineers and scientists solving challenging technical questions about highly complex systems. The candidate will work on tasks related to the integration of system models (radars, aircraft, missiles, command and control) into a large, many-on-many, real-time, C++-based simulation environment. The candidate will lead individual projects and at times lead small teams of government and contractor personnel.
The candidate will design logical models of space and ground systems for use in a AF/DOD environment. He/she will test and evaluate their own models and others to ensure functionality before submitting to the customer. Candidate will need knowledge in MATLAB and SIMULINK for development of these logical models.
The majority of the work involves supporting the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community. This challenging position will allow for the opportunity to contribute immediately to important, meaningful work while working directly with a diverse team of experienced colleagues.
An active TS/SCI is required; all work is onsite in Dayton at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Basic Qualifications
*Active TS/SCI
*BS in CS, CE, EE or a related field with 8+ years of applicable experience OR a MS and 6+yrs of related experience
*Experience in C++, modeling and simulation (M&S) techniques
*Recent experience with software testing, verification, and documentation
*Great people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists
Preferred Qualifications
*MS in CS, CE, EE or a related field
*Experience with Intelligence Community (IC) models, all-source analysis, radars, aircraft, missiles, space vehicles, MATLAB, Simulink, and Simulink Coder.
