Payroll Integration and Projects Lead (REMOTE)
Job Description
The Payroll Integration and Projects Lead will lead payroll related work resulting from merger, acquisition, and/or divestiture activities – primarily in the US market as well as system upgrades and implementations for the Payroll area. The position will report into the US/Puerto Rico Payroll team and work closely with and often take direction from the HR Mergers & Acquisitions COE. This position will be a standing member of all HR Integration teams as the workstream lead for payroll and will lead the development and execution of the integration plans specific to each transaction. The lead will partner closely and ensure coordination with other interdependent areas such as Benefits, HR Service Delivery, Compensation, Finance, and Legal. The lead will also have a role in working directly with payroll service providers of acquired companies to understand their processes, partner through integration planning, execution and hypercare. At times, this lead will also be expected to provide direct payroll processing support for acquired employees until we’ve reached full integration. At times where there is not an active transaction to support, this role will manage special projects within the US/Puerto Rico Payroll organization as required and defined by leadership.

Primary Duties include:
In-depth understanding of the Payroll space as it relates to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integrations including Systems Management, Payroll Processing, Payroll Tax, and General Ledger.
Overall project data management/reporting/tracking for all projects and testing related to Human Resources Service Delivery and Payroll.
Day-to-Day ownership and management of the M&A Integration and non-integration projects including:
Maintenance and management of the M&A Questionnaire and M&A Playbooks
Tracking all open questions and items for the target company on the M&A workstream calls
Managing the M&A workstream calls for Payroll and Benefits
Following up with the target company and internal workstreams to ensure timely information is provided.
Testing and documenting results during different phases of projects, M&A or other.
Working with suppliers and their deadlines and also providing internal deadlines to ensure timely results are provided.
Coordinate and collect details for Integration Management Office (IMO) or Senior Management.
Working with target company to obtain access to all systems.
Working with the target company and reviewing all payroll processing from post sign.
Training on target co systems and fully accessing in preparation of full process ownership.
If necessary or required, learn the processing of payroll, tax adjustments and returns from Target company.
Additional including but not limited to:
Research and respond to escalations as needed.
Data mining for projects or requests.
Research and document the business case for systems upgrades, enhancements and fixes.
Identifying opportunities for current internal manual processes.
Assist with automation and Service Experience current and future initiatives.
Assist with compiling details for audits and legal requests when required.
Support other Project Leads as backup if needed.
Ad hoc reporting and metrics gathering for quarterly business reviews or other internal needs
Attend meetings as requested by manager or teammates where Payroll input is requested.
Position Qualifications: (please provide below)
Education Minimum Requirement:
Minimum of an Associates degree or currently in pursuit of higher level degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the following:
Processing and managing payroll
Managing and Leading Projects
Managing Implementations and system upgrades
Workday experience
Advanced excel functionality to combine data from multiple sources via vlookups, manipulate reports, create dashboards, pivot summaries, etc
Ability to operate in ambiguity and develop/recommend solutions needed to address unmet needs, and quickly escalate issues to leadership.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal direction
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification

Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal skills along with high personal integrity, credibility, and energy.

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
