Job Description

The Pharmacovigilance Operations and Global Process Enablement (PV-O&GPE) Organization within our Company's Research & Development Division ensures patient safety by setting the company standards for Pharmacovigilance (PV), serving as the US PV Lead and aligning global PV standards to maintain compliance with local legislation while establishing and maintaining the quality management system for the collection, management and reporting of individual and aggregate safety reports.
This 10 to 12-week internship with PV-O&GPE will provide a great opportunity to expose yourself to the field of drug safety. As an intern, you would be involved with supporting initiatives to simplify and automate business processes by leveraging innovative technical solutions.
Your projects may involve:
Critically evaluating the processes and tools that we currently use to monitor PV compliance
Identify and implement solutions for automation of processes to develop creative and interactive metrics dashboards to monitor PV compliance
Your assignments and supervision will be under the guidance of PV-O&GPE Associate Director.
Required Education & Experience:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a BA/BS or Master’s program with an anticipated graduation date between December 2022 and August 2023
Candidates must be currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas: Science, Technology, Engineering, Business/Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics/Data Science, or a related field.
Candidates must have superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Candidates must have strong document management and organizational skills
Candidates must have strong analytical mindset, detailed oriented and data driven
Candidates must demonstrate initiative, leadership, and ownership of deliverables
Candidates must be a self-starter, fast learner, and manage multiple priorities while working in fast-paced team environment
Candidates must have the ability to manage and independently drive projects to completion
Candidates must have excellent presentation skills
Candidates must have passion for using technology
Candidates must be creative and innovative problem-solving skills
Candidates must be able to demonstrate campus and/or community leadership experience
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Candidates should be proficient with computer systems (Windows 10/ Office 365 necessary; Excel, Power Point and Word skills preferred)
Candidates should have some knowledge on Power BI and/or Tibco Spotfire
