Eatons Electrical Distribution Center is seeking a Quality and Continuous Improvement Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Fontana, CA facility. Relocation assistance is offered for this position.Position Overview:This position will drive continuous improvement in quality, customer satisfaction, and Eaton Lean system throughout the Distribution Center (DC). This position will provide quality interface and expertise between both internal and external customers. This position will develop, deploy and assure the effective implementation of robust quality management systems with a focus on the sharing and application of best practices between other locations.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Its where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potentialand where you can help us reach ours.In this function you will:+ Plan, develop and initiate positive actions within the DC to improve the quality that Eaton provides to its customers.+ Deploy and execute the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) within the Distribution Center+ Apply principals and initiatives of the Eaton Quality System (EQS) and Eaton Business System (EBS) to the DC processes for continuous improvement.+ Assure overall capability of Quality personnel coaching, guidance and development of staff and training of Quality department personnel.+ Develop and integrate quality performance measurement systems, considering world-class benchmarks and report results to management.+ Deploy quality management system to new facility in pursuit of ISO/9001:2015 certification+ Develop, implement and maintain divisional, group and corporate quality policies, procedures, and instructions.+ Act as the Management Representative in the ISO Quality Management System requirements.+ Assist in, approve and communicate major problem corrective actions with customers.+ Develop and utilize hands on approach to implement effective continuous improvement (CI) training plans that develop and sustain a CI culture, ensuring a constant safety focus.+ Leverage EBS Pull, CIF and Structured Problem Solving as the foundation for deployment & execution.+ Drive CIF (Continuous Improvement Framework) by training, coaching and leading by example by leveraging the 8 Building Blocks of CIF: Process Standardization, Visual Controls, Leader Standard Work, Daily Accountability, Process Checks, Manning Strategy, Gemba Walks, and CI for Everyone.+ Utilize analytical / statistical tools& methods combined with the ability to select and apply them to make data-based decisions. Statistical tools include A3, 8D, Problem Definition, Data Collection, Brainstorming, 5 Whys, Fishbone, Cause & Effect, Error Proofing, Variation Analysis, SPC, MSA, and DOE.+ Ensure that the internal business metrics are tracked through the Balance Score Card.+ Conduct game changing kaizen events/RIEs.+ Provide mentorship development to operational excellence/CI talent.+ Perform additional functions as required.When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we as individuals and as a company are stronger.#LI- MD1 QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required.+ Minimum three (3) years combined work experience in Quality, Operations, and/or Continuous Improvement functions+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the futurePreferred Qualifications:+ Minimum one (1) year of work experience managing people+ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification+ Eaton Lean Certification or demonstrated Lean experience+ Masters Degree in Business Administration+ Hands on approach to implementation (e.g. Kaizen Events).+ Experience implementing a quality management system+ Demonstrated experience using problem solving & Six Sigma statistical tools (including A3, 8D, Problem Definition, Data Collection, Brainstorming, 5 Whys, Fishbone, Cause & Effect, Error Proofing, Variation Analysis, SPC, MSA, and DOE) to solve problems.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
