Leidos is looking for experienced engineers with an Aerospace backgrounds to execute applied research and development for developing work in the King of Prussia, PA office. This is a technical engineering position to integrate, develop and maintain physics-based digital system performance models, perform numerical analysis, and support the design of advanced hypersonic weapons systems.

Be part of a close knit team and be mentored by world class experts. The Aerophysics branch operates in a small team environment where individual creativity is rewarded and continuous learning is the norm. Our engineers typically work directly with DOD personnel. Collaborate with members of a high performance technical team and customer stakeholders to determine study requirements and relevant technical approaches

Apply multi-disciplinary knowledge of aerothermodynamics, structures, material science, and sensing systems. Apply programming skills to create multi-physics system performance models. Develop and apply multi-fidelity computational fluid dynamics, structural dynamics and heat transfer models for the analysis of high speed weapons systems. Perform system trade studies and mission analysis on advanced weapons systems. Analyze data from field and flight tests to validate models and simulations.
