Eaton’s Electrical Sector (Crouse Hinds, B-Line and Oil & Gas business) is currently seeking a Materials and Assembly Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Amarillo, TX facility.

Position Overview:

This Materials and Assembly Supervisor requires ability to manage and coordinate material planning, purchasing, and expediting to ensure that raw materials, MRO and indirect supplies are available for manufacturing while ensuring the timely delivery of our finished goods to distribution centers and that inventory levels are maintained at defined levels. It also requires the ability to direct, lead, and supervise Assembly and Shipping production processes and employee resources per established practices and policies to ensure timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations.

In this function you will:

  • Engage workforce and promote Eaton Culture of personal accountability by providing continuous feedback and coaching, providing performance management, identifying goals, empowering employees to drive decision making, foster innovation and continuously learn.
  • Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and Zero Incident culture enforcement and active participation in safety program and ownership of element(s).
  • Own department deliverables for improving facility High Five metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost) through continuous improvement mindset including leading department, driving performance through ERP system execution for material management and supplier management.
  • Actively lead, improve, and execute site use of ERP System and triggers including but not limited to materials management, supplier management/relationship, customer management through ERP system master data, automation, and leveraging shared resources.
  • Actively engage with other teams to manage and improve site execution including finance team with vendor management and cost analysis of site operations, remainder of operations team to leverage material planning to drive efficiency in the site, and maintenance/operations team to drive efficient management of repair parts and other operations supplies.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
    • Military experience will be considered in lieu of manufacturing experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who currently reside within 50 miles of the Amarillo TX facility will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Supply Chain role utilizing ERP systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable industrial manufacturing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • APICS Certified
  • Technical knowledge in the area of machinery, tools, gauging and metal fabrication
  • Knowledge of EEO, OSHA, and other Federal and State laws
  • SAP Experience

Position Criteria

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate positive and constructive feedback to employees, peers, and management
  • Understanding of production scheduling and product flow
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Ability to coordinate/communicate activity across shifts
