Job Description:

The Leidos Civil IT Cyber Services Portfolio is seeking a PMO Support and Technical Writer Intern for 2022-2023. The internship is 6-12 months for 25-40 hours per week, with the option to be extended or potentially convert to a full time position.

This is a great opportunity for a college student with an IT, Cybersecurity, or Project Management background to support the Program Management Office, specifically the Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and Cybersecurity Program Team. This position will require an individual with excellent adaptability, organization, communication skills, as well as an instinctively proactive nature. The ideal candidate will have understanding of information technology and/or cybersecurity terminology and concepts, experience writing about technical subjects, and working with teams on projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide daily ad-hoc support to the PMO management staff. Actions Items and daily activities will change based on priorities.
  • Assist with executing program management office action items as requested, this may include data entry and analysis, technical document creation, presentations, and assisting with project/team coordination.
  • Attend meetings as needed to capture meeting minutes and upload completed documents to SharePoint.
  • Coordinate, execute, and track PMO specific tasks and initiatives.
  • Assist in maintenance of PMO support documents such as the program risk register and deliverables.
  • Provide quality assurance and editing of all program documentation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a related Bachelor's degree granting program.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite applications (Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Outlook).
  • Follows established processes and checklists.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles.
  • Complete tasks individually and as team participant.
  • Seek guidance when needed but requires moderate guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, and/or managers.
  • Have a basic understanding of project management and IT terms.
  • Provide daily support to the PMO management staff. Actions Items and daily activities will change based on priorities.

  • Assist in maintenance of PMO support staff tracking documents.
  • Assist with employee or contractor On-Boarding and Off-Boarding processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Experience with multiple software applications.
  • Cybersecurity or Information Systems Management coursework or experience.
  • SharePoint and/or Vector experience.

Pay Range:Pay Range $33,150.00 - $51,000.00 - $68,850.00
