What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for leading the enterprise digital automation tools team that enables all Verizon lines of business to adopt and execute with robotic process and desktop automations. You are excited by architecting and designing opportunities to translate strategies into user-friendly processes and systems and have a significant impact on the way we do business. In this role you will lead the technical team that has ownership of the entire digital development life cycle management platform and all infrastructure related automation components. You will be responsible for leading this highly motivated and talented team, coaching and mentoring them to deliver high quality products, services and support. You will help establish goals, influence and effectively communicate the vision set by Senior Leadership.

  • Lead the architecture, design/build and support of the digital tools platform consisting of UiPath.
  • Design, setup and implement UiPath Robotic Process Automation technologies.
  • Perform Upgrades, Patching and Implementation on various UiPath toolset and products.
  • Support Development teams with onboarding and operational requirements, related to robotics process automation.
  • Provide strategic architecture, leadership, direction and technical oversight pertaining to the implementation of the tools, technologies, solutions, and methodologies.
  • Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals, strategies and gain organizational commitment for
  • Provide thought leadership by challenging the current way of operating to deliver best in class approaches.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leadership to keep track of changing business needs and priorities.
  • Perform research activities to identify emerging technologies and trends that may affect the enterprise.
  • Maintain awareness of vendor/product industry developments, regulations and trends and identify potential impacts.
  • Propose the most efficient and effective technical solutions in order to drive industry "best in class" KPI results and state of the art customer experiences.
  • Embrace agile methodologies and lead the effort to transform the way we do operations by promoting a DevOps and Automation mindset.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation with willingness to work nights and weekends to provide escalations and technical support as needed.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and four or more years of work experience
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in large scale technology projects, architecture, and design.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PHP, Python, PowerShell).
  • Proficient in creating technical architecture diagrams/flows and helping properly document business processes.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and relevant application technologies.
  • Advanced experience using Splunk and Elastic search.
  • Creation of Splunk and Elastic Search dashboards
  • Experience with microservices architecture, cloud-native architecture.
  • Experience working across verticals within and outside the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Cloud Architecture with the focus on AWS/Azure along with Openshift/Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Cloudformation and CI/CD executions.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Win Desktop and Linux operating systems, as a system administrator.
  • Experience with Managing data center elements, hardware, software, power requirements.
  • Experience in building bots specifically in the UiPath Re-Frameworks and familiarity with other leading automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of DNS.
  • Knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with architecture define/build and implementation.
  • Experience with robotic automation systems with focus on unattended and attended robotic solutions.
  • Experience with Splunk for Proactive monitoring and Analysis using Next Generation telemetry, logging, reporting, dashboard development, and continuous delivery technologies.
  • Experience in successfully implementing Scalable solutions across an enterprise for Automation, documenting them, and articulating them to a large audience.
