Assistant Athletic Trainer – Multiple Positions

Reporting to the Managing Assistant Director of Sports Medicine, the Assistant Athletic Trainer (Professional Services Specialist 4) provides assistance in the Athletics Training area and supports student-athletes/teams as assigned, with primary responsibility related to the prevention and care of athletic injuries. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours. Travel with designated teams is also required.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; one year of athletic training experience; current Athletic Trainer license in the State of NJ; current certification by the Board of Certification (BOC); and certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association is required. Master’s degree in a related field; two years of athletic training experience at the collegiate level; current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications; and American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor Certification is preferred. Candidate must have knowledge of NCAA regulations and the ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing.

This position also requires the ability to perform essential functions including, but not limited to: the ability to physically lift, position, move and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; walking long distances/standing for long durations of time outdoors/indoors in varied temperatures; and exposure to high noise levels.
