At present, Navigate BioPharma supports 100+ clinical trials from 30+ pharma, biotech, and diagnostic companies, including 8 of the top 15 oncology companies globally.<br><br>As Sr. Flow Cytometry Design & Analyses Expert, you will contribute to the development of high complexity flow cytometry biomarker assays using state-of-art instrumentation. You will also be involved in data analysis and interpretations of clinical specimens from patients enrolled in clinical trials applying the highest standards and following all GMP/GCP/GLP/CLIA recommendations and regulations. In your role, you will be expected to contribute scientific thought leadership, coach, and mentor team members, and develop strong collaborative relationships across the organizational departments.<br><br>Your responsibilities:<br>1. Leads gating, analyses, and scientific review of high dimensional flow cytometry data<br>2. Provides data analyses mentorship and tutorials to current and new employees<br>3. Oversees assay transfer (internal & external) to support global clinical trials, advises on new assay design (panel & gating) and leads execution of supplemental validations<br>4. Serves as primary POC for technical & interpretation issue management of clinical trial data<br>5. Flexibly supports primary COE (center of excellence) functions as well as cross COE needs <br><br>What you will bring to the role:<br>1. PhD with 6+ years of experience, MS with 12+ years of directly relevant experience, or BS with 20+ years scientific emphasis with minimum of 12 years of directly relevant experience<br>2. High level of understanding of biological sciences and familiarity with flow cytometry both at the bench and in data analysis. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills <br>3. Highest scientific and technical standards for the successful completion of projects <br>4. Critical thinking is a must, high degree of ownership and accountability, ability to quickly adapt to changing projects and priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment <br>5. Team player, enthusiastic, open-minded, self-motivated, “can-do” attitude, sense of mentorship <br><br><br>Preferred:<br>• Demonstrated experience and understanding of cell characterization assays directly applicable to the research services provided by Navigate (tissue culture, cellular biological techniques such as flow cytometry, cell isolation procedures, IHC, etc.) is strongly preferred<br>• Deep hands-on knowledge in phenotyping of normal and abnormal immune cell subsets, including stem cells, is strongly preferred<br><br>The ideal location for this role is the Carlsbad, CA site where hybrid working principles apply, but a distant working arrangement may be possible in certain states. US associates living more than 50 miles (one way) away and who reside in a different state from their Novartis office will require a formal DWA to ensure appropriate state tax compliance. Distant workers are responsible for the cost of home office expenses and periodic <br>travel/lodging to the Carlsbad, CA site, as determined necessary by hiring manager. US associates living more than 50 miles (one way) away and who reside in the same state as their Novartis office may be eligible for an exception to the hybrid working principles. This<br>position will require 10-15% travel as defined by the business (domestic and or international). <br><br>The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $118,400 and $177,600/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/22 through 12/31/22, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
