Associate Director, Learning Solutions and Strategy (Hybrid NJ/PA)
Job Description
The Associate Director, Learning Solutions & Strategy has responsibility for design and delivery of HR Solutions in support of Learning the learning CoE identifying opportunities for streamlining existing operations, identifying and assessing future technology solutions enabling the Learning strategy. This position works closely with the learning CoE as well as HR service and process leads, to identify, recommend & deliver alternative solutions, leveraging existing, or emerging HR & Learning tools and technologies. The individual is responsible for collaborating with peers and HR solution leads within the organization and is accountable for the implementation of agreed upon recommended solutions. The individual must be able to influence across multiple levels of the organization, including the Learning CoE Leaders as well as internal/external partners to drive change and tangible service improvements.
Reporting to the Director Learning and Service Management HR solutions, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Participates in strategy/process design sessions to consult on solutions (both existing and new) that will best achieve desired strategic outcomes.
Authors or facilitates creation of functional requirements to effectively build and/or configure solutions.
Builds team of required partners to implement defined solution (e.g. IT, System Vendor, Implementation Partner); Partner Management (if applicable).
Responsible for authoring the process design documents, uses cases/business scenarios.
Creates/updates required Data Privacy forms for all relevant objects requiring data; work with Data Privacy Office and data steward to obtain Local and Global Data Privacy and works council approvals.
Works with process/functional lead and test leads to define test strategy and test plan and executes user testing.
Leads solutions workstream as part of service transition projects, manages all work/deliverables per project plan, reports/escalates status, issues, and risks with mitigation plans weekly to project/program manager.
The Associate Director, Learning Solutions & Strategy operates in a highly complex and matrix environment and is expected to apply HR and learning functional and operational expertise to drive performance. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished HR/HRIS, IT and / or learning team lead with experience working globally and established credibility in delivery and enabling strategies within a large and complex organization.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience in a Human Resources, HRIS, Operations or learning function
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, HRIS, Operation, learning function or related discipline (with Masters’ degree, minimum experience is 8 years)
Ability to assessing and implement Learning tools and systems, defining key processes and service level standards
Knowledge / experience implementing and managing Workday learning or success factors LMS system as well as experience with social learning and learning content management tools
Experience working in a regulated environment
Experience establishing service levels and analyzing operational workflow
Familiarity with global privacy, legal and compliance requirements
Strong business and financial acumen
Experience with large, company-wide program implementation
Ability to negotiate with and influence the opinions of others within the division and with clients & vendors
Ability to create, manage, and implement technology strategy roadmaps, and develop business cases as required
Ability to quickly define opportunities where HRIS / learning initiatives can further the business strategy and drive execution of functional business plans through enabling technology solutions
Knowledge of the external marketplace and emerging trends / technologies supporting Learning

Ability to quickly assesses business needs to identify opportunities where HR/HRIS processes, programs and initiatives can further the business strategy

Ability to be hands-on and entrenched in the details when necessary; ability to think strategically and big picture, while remaining involved in the day to day tasks.
Highly analytic with the ability to tackle deep dive analysis
Experience with Agile methodologies and ability to adjust to a rapidly changing environment and make decisions with limited information
Initiative, creativity, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage through ambiguity

Expected salary range:
