Office of Accreditation and Assessment

Associate Director

Reporting to the Director of Accreditation and Assessment, the Associate Director 2 assists with managing the University's institutional and program/unit outcomes assessment processes and provides leadership to faculty, staff and administrators in managing their activities required for campus-wide assessment efforts to improve student learning and success outcomes. This position assists in the management of ongoing institutional compliance with all Standards of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, as well as with specialized programmatic accreditation of academic programs and units. The Associate Director acts with the authority of the Director in their absence; creates policies and procedures related to accreditation and assessment activities; supervises part-time and full-time office staff; and does related work as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college and a minimum of three years of professional experience in academic outcomes assessment and/or institutional assessment and related activities within a higher education setting is required. A doctoral degree may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience. Candidate must have working knowledge of research methods and design, statistics, qualitative analysis, technology in assessment and tests/measurements; strong organizational and project management skills; and excellent written and public presentation skills. Experience with regional accreditation, specifically with Middle States Commission on Higher Education and experience with the use of statistical analysis and visualization tools such as R and PowerBI is a plus.
