What you’ll be doing...

As part of the Media Platforms Center of Excellence, we are shaping the future of how Verizon Business Group uses media and connections to fuel company growth. This role will partner with the Verizon Business Group Unit and the rest of the Central Marketing Organization to build media plans that drive awareness, demand, engagement and ultimately loyal consumption of our products and services.

As a member of this fast-paced and energetic team, you will be responsible for shaping the media strategy and driving the execution of key business to business initiatives. Reporting to the Director of B2B Media, you will partner with a broad & cross-functional set of talented stakeholders, particularly supporting Verizon Business Group campaigns as well as channel and special project strategies.

  • Leading strategy and media plan development for specific Verizon Business initiatives, typically multiple per quarter, up to 2 million dollars per initiative.
  • Supporting/coordinate with other VBG media team members on larger, cross BU media and marketing campaigns.
  • Partnering directly with key stakeholders & counterparts in Integrated Marketing, CMI, and Marketing Effectiveness to effectively tie media outcomes to deliver on business objectives.
  • Partnering with agency and analytics team to report on completed campaigns, apply basic analytical skills to identify any performance highlights and/or trends to inform strategy & tactics for moving forward.
  • Performing Project management for VBG team executive presentations schedule and roadshows.
  • Ensuring effective budget management including reconciliation and invoice approval across VBG campaigns.
  • Partnering with agency on various competitive reports and analyses delivered weekly – quarterly.
  • Coordinating with Social, Experiential & PR teams for holistic paid + owned + earned campaigns.

Where you’ll be working…

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience in consumer marketing or media.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in Business-to-Business planning.
  • Experience in managing media plan budgets and spend shifts.
  • Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, proficiency with creating visual presentations.
  • Effective project management and communication skills at varying levels.
  • Ability to understand business strategy and correlate business outcomes to media actions/KPIs.
  • Experience in developing data driven media strategies across multiple channels.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with creative teams for joint, idea-led media plans.
  • Effective and efficient project management and campaign execution skills.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $89,000 and $166,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
