If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWithin the IBM Global Business Services, we have a focused business for Core Banking transformation for our banking clients and we are seeking a Senior Architect with core banking solution expertise to join our team in Spain. In this role, you will participate in analyzing the banking architecture for banking clients, their legacy core banking applications and surrounding systems, defining target application architectures including the new cloud-native core banking systems, and migration strategies for our clients, focus on transforming core banking system to cloud. You will advise our clients to identify the right technical strategy and help modernize their legacy applications (mainframe as well as distributed) or build a completely new application stack using modern cloud native architectures.Responsibilities:+ Facilitate organizational change by defining strategies for the banking clients with respect to technology standards, industry models (such as BIAN) and design goals; evaluate business requirements in the early stages of projects to determine what software, integration technologies, system architectures and patterns should be employed to meet business objectives efficiently; participate in the development of roadmaps, which include product selection, implementations, data migrations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.+ Provide technical design and architectural leadership, including documenting and diagramming the logical and physical, and process views across multiple technology domains.+ Lead the transformation of legacy core banking systems to cloud, providing expertise in topics such us integration between legacy and new cloud native systems, coexistence, supporting of Non-Functional Requirements, and interlock with client lead architects and infrastructure and operations teams+ Collaborate with project teams to lead solution design, project proposals, proof-of-concepts, and delivery of the solution implementation including integration with both internal and external applications+ Communicate best practices by giving presentations, working with project teams, and authoring content aimed at educating others about standards, strategies, and otherwise defined best practicesThe role requires the ability to work with the client's IT team, as well as C-level executives to demonstrate IBM's value proposition for core banking transformation. As a solution architect, you will be required to represent deep expertise on modernization of mainframe legacy (which is the environment for most of IBM's banking clients), transformation of mission critical applications needing re-architecture, not just containerization/refactoring.We are seeking a candidate who has great breadth and depth of experience when it comes to the banking application landscape, especially in the core banking space of customer information, deposits and lending. Ability to work well with a global team, IBM product teams, and willingness to travel to client sites will be essential.Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ Extensive experience on core banking system implementation, or modernization of core banking legacy systems, including definition of Data migrations, coexistence and integration architecture solutions+ Strong experience in architecting and developing cloud-native applications including development of APIs and microservices on containers.+ Extensive experience in core banking transformation projects, including developing project plans and budgets for successful IT projects+ Strong experience with legacy applications including mainframe, and Java application development and modernizing integration landscape using traditional and cloud-native integration and messaging technologies (MQ, Kafka, etc)+ Strong experience in a consulting organization including consultative-based selling of technology transformation project, documenting and presenting recommendations to clients and/or stakeholders+ Fluent English and SpanishPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Experience with DevSecOps usage, and definition of DevSecOps tools, methods and processes recommendations+ Experience in BIAN usage as reference model for designing new core banking solutions or modernizing legacy platform+ Experience in using Domain Driven Design (DDD), event stroming methods and Agile methodologies at work+ Experience and knowledge of IBM Z and RedHat OpenShift+ Certification in RedHat or Architect certification in one or more of the prominent Public Clouds (IBM, AWS, Azure, GCP)About Business UnitIBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world's economy.
