Our business helps support their way of life and contributes to the survival of a culture that has thrived in a challenging environment.**Job responsibilities:**Project Governance+ Establishes project policies and procedures, and manages day-to-day operational aspects of the Logistics Support Services (LSS) Contract. Is responsible for overall management and administration of a large, multidiscipline workforce.+ Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.+ Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.+ In conjunction with the QC Manager, establishes quality standards and ensures they are met.+ Establishes, communicates, and evaluates KPIs and operational metrics to identify strengths and weaknesses in project team delivery.+ Effectively establishes operational procedures, applies methodology and enforces project delivery, safety, and quality standards.+ Prepares for contract performance reviews and project management reviews.+ Minimizes our exposure and risk on project through effective decision making, communication techniques, and leadership skills.+ Ensures project documents are complete, current, and maintained appropriately.+ Ensures work accomplished is within scope of the contract and is authorized by the customer.Project Financial Management+ Establishes, monitors, and actively manages project budget.+ Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables.+ Delivers target profitability annually.+ Follows up with customer, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.+ Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.+ Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.+ Understands our pricing model and billing procedures.+ Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.Business Development+ Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project.+ Leads proposal efforts including completing project scoping and Level of Effort assessments.+ Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.Communication+ Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.+ Holds regular status meetings with project team.+ Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.+ Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.+ Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.+ Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.+ Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.Customer Management+ Manages day-to-day customer interaction.+ Sets and manages customer expectations.+ Develops lasting relationships with customer personnel that foster customer ties.+ Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.+ Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.+ Builds a knowledge base of each customer's business, organization and objectives.Internal Operations+ Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.+ Leads internal teams/task forces.+ Approves team members' time and expense reports in a conscientious and timely manner.+ Reviews the status reports/KPIs/operational metrics of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.+ Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.**Qualifications**+ Minimum of 15 years general experience in management and operation. Requires a good basis of knowledge of the principles of organization, management, administration, budgeting and financial management.+ Extensive understanding of DoD and USA logistics requirements, expectations, and operations.+ Ability to gain cooperation, coordinate the work of others, and build a cohesive and collaborative team.+ Skilled in written and oral presentations.+ Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements with available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work.+ Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.+ Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions.+ Bachelor degree required.
