Our business helps support their way of life and contributes to the survival of a culture that has thrived in a challenging environment.**Job Summary:**As the Quality Manager you will be expected to utilize your experience to provide quality oversight of aviation depot-level maintenance activities and ensure maintenance operations are completed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Air Force (AF) requirements. Your duties will include overseeing the implementation of processes and procedures that align the operations with AS9110 and FAA FAR requirements, as well as the execution of established program and mission assurance requirements. Your efforts will help ensure performance through scheduling/performing internal process audits and the consistent facilitation of structured improvement initiatives in order to provide a safe and efficient operating environment. This requires a broad understanding of all aspects of aviation maintenance and inspection functions.**Responsibilities:**+ POC for all Aviation Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions at the Depot facility(s).+ Ensuring all Learjet 35A (C-21A) maintenance operations are completed in accordance with 14 CFR Part 43, 91, 135 Subpart J, 145 and Air Force requirements.+ Ensuring aircraft maintenance, modifications and component changes are in accordance with OEM / Customer approved technical data and in conformance with Akima procedures.+ Performing and/or overseeing Organizational and Depot level inspections on airframe, engines and components.+ Ensuring all required entries are accurately made in aircraft forms and records in accordance with Air Force Technical Order (TO), FAA and Customer requirements.+ Implementing and maintaining appropriate Quality Management System (QMS) processes and ensuring AS9110 and FAR Part 145 compliance for the Operation.+ Providing the Program Manager with timely metrics and audit outcomes to gauge progress towards quality objectives.+ Completing supplier Quality Management System (QMS) audits and working with suppliers to close out any audit findings.+ Addressing Internal and External Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and providing timely, effective resolution through Root Cause Analysis.+ Coordinating and/or presenting weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.+ Recommending, facilitating, tracking and reporting on continuous process improvement activities.+ Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required for program support and/or audits.+ Supporting the Corporate Development Team with information as requested.**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications:**+ Must have a FAA mechanic certificate with both an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) rating.+ Must have a FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).+ Minimum 10 years of experience in aircraft fixed-wing maintenance, at least 5 of those years being in a Quality Control position, with experience returning aircraft to service.+ Extensive knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 requirements.+ In-depth knowledge of special process requirements, such as Nondestructive Inspection (NDI), Paint, Welding, Soldering, etc.+ Ability to create and maintain aviation program manuals, forms, and records.+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data and government regulations.+ Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office products.+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.+ Must be a U.S. Citizen.+ Must have, or be able to obtain, a Secret Clearance.+ Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screening.**Desired Qualifications:**+ Experience working Air Force maintenance contracts with extensive knowledge of Air Force Directives / Instructions and Technical Order requirements, such as AFI 21 Series Maintenance Management; TO 1-1B-50 Weight and Balance; TO 00-20-1 Aerospace Equipment Maintenance Inspection, Documentation, Policies and Procedures; and TO 00-5-1 AF Technical Order System.+ Advanced proficiency completing and maintaining Air Force forms and records IAW TO 00-20-1.+ Previous graduate from an Air Education and Training Command (AETC) approved Weight and Balance course of instruction and previously qualified by an Air Force Weight and Balance Authority for accomplishing weight and balance functions.+ Previous experience as an Aviation Quality Manager and/or Supplier Quality Engineer.+ SAE AS9110 (or AS9100) Lead Auditor trained.**Physical Requirements:**+ Must be able to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces; able to ascend or descend stairs, ramps, ladders, stairs, and scaffolding; able to work at heights requiring fall protection devices; able to grasp or handle objects and use finger dexterity; and able to remain in stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.+ Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.+ Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by air.+ May be required to operate machinery and/or power tools, powered vehicles and ground support equipment.+ May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.The duties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
