Ourbusiness helps support their way of life and contributes to the survival of aculture that has thrived in a challenging environment.**Responsibilities:**The CQC Manager must be onsite at all times and cannot be theSSHO on this project, even though the CQC Manager has safety inspectionresponsibilities as part of the QC duties. The CQC Manager must meet theexperience requirements consistent with Specification Section 01 45 00 (notedbelow).The CQC System Manager is responsible foroverall management of CQC and has the authority to act in all CQC matters forthe Contractor. The CQC System Manager is required to be or a constructionperson with a minimum of 5 years in related work. This CQC System Manager is onthe site at all times during construction, is employed by the prime Contractor,is responsible for overall management of CQC, and has the authority to act inall CQC matters for the Contractor. The CQC System Manager is assigned asCQC System Manager and shall have no other duties.**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications:**+ In addition to the above experience and education requirements, the Contractor Quality Control(CQC) System Manager is required to have completed the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course. If the CQC System Manager does not have a current certification, the CQM for Contractors course certification must be obtained within 90 days of award. This course is periodically offered by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the Army Corps of Engineers.+ The Construction Quality Management Training certificate expires after 5 years. If the CQC System Manager's certificate has expired, retake the course to remain current.+ Candidate MUST have a T/S Clearance.Duties of the CQC System Manager includes maintenance of records providing factual evidence that required quality control activities and/or tests have been performed. Included in these records is the work of subcontractors and suppliers on an acceptable form that includes, as a minimum, the following information:+ The name and area of responsibility of the Contractor/Subcontractor.+ Operating plant/equipment with hours worked, idle, or down for repair.+ Work performed each day, giving location, description, and by whom. WhenNetwork Analysis (NAS) is used, identify each phase of work performed each dayby NAS activity number.+ Test and/or control activities performed with results and references tospecifications/drawings requirements. Identification of the control phase(preparatory, Initial, Follow-up). Listing of deficiencies noted, along withcorrective action.+ Quantity of materials received at the site with statement as to acceptability,storage, and reference to specifications/drawings requirements.+ Submittals and deliverables reviewed, with Contract reference, by whom, andaction taken.+ Offsite surveillance activities, including actions taken.+ Job safety evaluations stating what was checked, results, and instructions orcorrective actions.+ Instructions given/received and conflicts in plans and/or specifications.The duties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
