Eatons Power Components Division in our Electrical Sector is seeking a Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will be based at our Horseheads, NY facility.The Maintenance Manager is responsible for directing analytical problem solving, root cause analysis and creativity/innovation to improve key business drivers utilizing a World Class Manufacturing approach. In this role, you will develop strategic improvement plans for site maintenance including plant infrastructure, equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, instrumentation, electrical and control systems.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Its where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potentialand where you can help us reach ours.In this function you will:+ Manage project priorities and project completion to expectations with Engineering, Operations, and EHS.+ Establish, develop, and execute the maintenance department goals and strategy to complement overall goals as well as develop maintenance supervisors and hourly employees to facilitate the needs of internal and external customers.+ Oversee equipment maintenance in a productive and safe manner.+ Meet the strategic goals set by leadership team in support of the operational goals.+ Develop and implement training programs to enhance knowledge and proficiency of various maintenance technician functions.+ Drive continuous improvement of world class Maintenance Management Systems that will help improve equipment uptime.+ Assure that safe work procedures are established and followed with maintenance and outside contractors.+ Direct plant-wide maintenance activities including budgets, preventive and predictive maintenance.+ Lead, coach, and develop employees within the maintenance department including conducting performance reviews and certifications as appropriate.+ Assure effective maintenance practices and optimized uptime of all production and facility equipment while maintaining forecasted budget.+ Oversee and balances preventive maintenance schedules and the maintenance work/equipment records with input from Manufacturing and Engineering.+ Work in conjunction with manufacturing and engineers to provide project and daily support.+ Effectively manage scheduled and unscheduled resource demands to maximize plant/equipment uptime.+ Cross train to understand and analyze facility requirements for compressed air, in house electrical distribution, HVAC, re-circulating water, and building grounds maintenance.+ Support the maintenance system to meet the MESH, VPP, TS16949, EBE and other customer and Eaton requirements.+ Facilitate spare part management system to ensure machine uptime and meet forecasted budgets and coordinate capital planning for the Maintenance department and manage related tasksWhen we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we as individuals and as a company are stronger.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees. QualificationsBasic Qualifications:+ Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required.+ Minimum 3 years practical engineering, maintenance and/or facilities experience in a manufacturing environment.+ Minimum 2 years of experience supervising/managing teams.+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree in Maintenance/Engineering Manufacturing, or Business Administration required from an accredited institution.+ Minimum 5 years maintenance and facilities engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.+ Minimum 5 years of experience supervising/managing teams.+ Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives.+ Knowledge of machining operations including CNC Mills and Lathes and automated manufacturing, CNC and robotic operations.Position Criteria:+ Ability to travel up to 10%+ Strong financial acumen with knowledge of capital equipment analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, project cost analysis and long term maintenance analysis.+ Demonstrated ability to drive change in a leadership position with excellent communication skills.+ Ability to work under pressure and maintain strong safety focus.+ High energy with a very strong sense of urgency.+ Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work with all levels of the organization.+ Ability and experience working in a fast pace, high volume, manufacturing facility is required.+ Ability to give, receive and analyze information.+ Ability to work under pressure and maintain strong safety focus.+ Demonstrated ability to be a hands-on contributor to problem solving and project management in addition to managing administrative tasks.We make what matters work.
