Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Global Export Classification Manager to join our team. Its where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potentialand where you can help us reach ours.In this role you will:+ Lead the development and deployment of relevant engineering trade compliance processes, standards and training.+ Partner and align with GTM and provides technical expertise to assist business units in developing and implementing processes, procedures, and systems that ensure product export compliance, utilizing EBS tools with implementation and execution.+ Provide technical expertise related to export jurisdiction and classification and counsels GTM on functional relevance and technical application.+ Lead a team of Technology Control Officers (TCOs) for all engineering trade compliance activities in accordance with the Technology Control Plan and US Export Compliance Manual.+ Manage US Export jurisdiction classification updates, PLM/ERP systems consistency and control, Technology Control Plan adherence, and engineering coordination on agreements and authorization amendments.+ Direct the management of export compliance and control of technical data, software and associated intangibles ensuring jurisdiction/classification is properly identified within Eatons various management systems (ERP, PLM, SAP, Oracle, Vista, etc.).+ Serve as Eatons subject matter expert on all export jurisdiction and classification issues.+ Leverage subject matter expertise and cross-functional teams to develop and implement export classification strategy for Eaton; translate into specific goals, OFIs, and focus areas, aligned with plants / operations / businesses.+ Build organizational capability and talent pipeline through the global trade and TCO function by identifying, assessing and developing key functional competencies across Eaton.+ Legally empowered as an independent authority to inquire into any aspect of proposed export with any Eaton entity and/or related partners working with Eaton+ Evaluate IT compliance, advises IT function on strategic compliance enhancements, and personally sponsors related projects to mitigate non-compliance risk.When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we as individuals and as a company are stronger.Eaton will consider for employment, qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the FCIHO. QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution+ Minimum seven (7) years experience in product engineering and/or trade compliance.+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.+ This position requires the use of information or access to technology which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR/EAR. ITAR/EAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:+ MBA or Masters degree in Supply Chain from an accredited institution+ 1-2 years experience as a leader of people in a global environment+ 2-3 years experience as an Empowered Official+ 3-5 years experience in Project Management, Lean Management or Six Sigma.Position Criteria:+ Ability to lead a global governance, risk and compliance function with specific focus on developing and implementing a global trade management strategy+ Strong understanding of export laws and regulations and is accountable for engineering trade compliance in the US and abroad+ Excellent communication and influencing skills including the leadership presence and interpersonal savvy to influence senior operating and functional leaders. Passionate change leader with high energy and the ability to work effectively across a complex, global organization.+ Possess the ability to resolve issues on all levels. Must proactively recognize and solve complex cross-functional program issues.+ Experience/previous exposure in reviewing technical specifications, product performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and end user expectations.+ Demonstrated understanding and experience in USG voluntary disclosure processEaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices.
