Plant Manager- Las Piedras, PR

Position Overview:Eaton is seeking a Plant Manager for its Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS) business. The Plant Manager has overall responsibility for all facets of the Las Piedras plant manufacturing operations. The overall purpose of this position is to direct and coordinate all plant activities toward plant and company goals and objectives. The position will be located at Eatons Las Piedras, PR facility.Essential Responsibilities:+ Develops and implements manufacturing policies and insures application to the manufacturing operations+ Directs all plant functions including Operations (manufacturing/engineering, maintenance & facilities), EHS, Quality, Operations Excellence, accounting, and human resources.+ Appraises employee performance and administers salaries. Develops employees through training and motivation. Assures subordinates are constantly improving their knowledge of manufacturing processes and in functional competencies+ In conjunction with the Division develops annual objectives for the plant and reviews with staff managers, employees and division personnel. Ensures that site objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory are defined and met or exceeded.+ Develops plant budgets and forecasts and assures timely implementation and control. In conjunction with the Division, develops strategic plans for the facility, short term and long term. Maintain ISO, EBS, EQS certifications+ Oversees maintenance of all plant facilities and layouts to assure Eaton Lean Systems objectives.+ Works with both development engineering and marketing in new product designs, coordinating customer requirements with manufacturing cost and feasibility+ Assures prompt and accurate reporting systems on all aspects of plant operations including inventory, labor, production, shipping and receiving to monitor performance against plant objectives+ Maintain a positive employee relations culture. Maintains an environment in keeping with all applicable regulations and legal requirements+ Directs the staffing, organization and development of plant's personnel requirements+ Directs plant safety program to minimize accident or injury occurrence and to meet all regulatory standards+ Communicates information to employees on the state of the company, and leads the communications efforts of the facility+ Represents the company in community and professional activities+ Oversees and leads the deployment of all EBS elements: Strat Planning, EBS Strategy Deployment, Goal Alignment and OpA QualificationsBasic Qualifications:+ Electronics industry background is preferred with proven ability to develop and execute strategic operational plans+ Ten (10) years minimum experience in production management+ Requires an administrative knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure analysis, and wage and salary administration.+ Requires a working knowledge of corporate, division and plant policies and procedures.+ Knowledge of governmental/utility requirements for the facility is required.+ Experience in methods and good industrial engineering practices is preferred.+ Proven track record of building organizational capability and talent through effective recruiting,+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity+ Drive for results and ability to execute+ Relationship building skills+ Must be full bilingual (English, Spanish)+ Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipEducation:+ An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required.
