Position Overview:Eatons Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Regional Quality Manager. This position will be based in our Waukesha, WI facility.Reporting to our Director Manufacturing Operations, this person will be the leader of the quality function for a division of the Power Systems Division. The primary function of the Regional Quality Manager role is to functionally support the definition, execution, and deployment of the strategic Quality Plan for the plants within scope. This position is responsible for achieving established short and long-term goals for quality metrics for the division. This position is also responsible for leveraging the tools and processes of the Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) within the operational sites to achieve continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of the Quality Management Systems as measured through Eatons prescribed metrics and standard assessment practices. The position provides functional support of development and administration of product warranty programs, EQMS, Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF), maturity growth in OpA and EBEA at the division level to improve customer satisfaction and global competitiveness. This person will also build organizational capability by mentoring and developing functional and leadership talent and be accountable for delivering quality goals and targets for the divisions and protecting the customer from quality defectsEssential Responsibilities:+ Provide Quality Leadership across the division to drive collaborative strategies and solutions to ensure active leadership from management and ownership by all employees. Regularly communicates and demonstrates the Eaton ethics, values and philosophy such that these cultural attributes are incorporated throughout the organization. Fosters an environment that promotes Eatons goals and philosophy, encourages continuous improvement, and builds customer relationships+ Champion the Quality Management System / EQMS within the Division. Identify and lead prevention-based initiatives to address common barriers for division & the plants and enable sustainable improvements in prevention-based quality systems. Oversees effectiveness of internal & external QMS/EQS assessments, including OpA. Identify Operational & site Quality management action plans.+ Coordinate Operational strategies & deployment for effective quality processes and tools, including: Six Sigma, CIF, APQP planning, PFMEA, Control Plans, Supplier Selection, development & Management, PPAP, process & gauge capability, Risk Assessment, Root Cause investigations, 8D, and CAR/ DMR consistent with Divisional, Sector, and Corporate requirements and directed toward continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.+ Drive key quality metrics including: Quality cost-of-non-conformance (Quality CONC), Supplier and Customer DPPM, Customer Escapes (HSCQE), and utilize appropriate benchmarking and comparative data to drive continuous performance improvement and speed of response. Provide functional leadership to Plant Operations & Quality / OPEX management to improve performance, including the identification and standardization of best practices.+ Supports Divisional / Sector training strategies & plans for quality processes and tools, including: 8D, PFMEA, Control plans, Root Cause, Six Sigma, MSA/ Gauge capability, PPAP, APQP, CAR, and other quality / continuous improvement tools.+ Builds organizational capability across the quality function. Ensures deployment of Eatons quality functional excellence tool set and provides input to development plans for direct and functional reports. Conducts talent reviews within home organization and provides input to the ES Quality Director and Division Operations leaders+ Supports division facilities as a central point of contact for all customer related processes (Customer communication, problem resolution, advanced quality planning needs, etc).+ Utilize established warranty policies, tracking, analytics and reporting (defect & cost data) so to drive product line level improvements, contributing to improved customer satisfaction.+ Participates and promotes internal & external Supplier Quality Development: Expand & deploy processes, targeting critical commodities and Focus Suppliers to significantly reduce supplier defects by improving capabilities, including offshore & direct source suppliers.+ Manages the customer interface to ensure that quality requirements which impact the multiple sites in the division are understood and met by all plants. Monitors and follows up on the process for plant quality managers to regularly engage with customers to drive continuous improvement in satisfaction measures (e.g. as represented in CRR, customer surveys / scorecards, warranty results).+ Responsible for the Quality performance of the businesss new products which includes leading the teams that execute the Quality deliverables associate with PROLaunch (both NPI & STP) as well as those processes associated with the validation of new manufacturing processes and production tooling. This responsibility has to be closely coordinated with multiple functional owners.Position Criteria:+ Ability to demonstrate proven experience in process development, implementation and sustainability+ Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written+ Ability to lead effectively in a matrix organization, in virtual teams (across different locations), and cross-cultural environments+ Ability to effectively interact with others, establishing open, candid, and trusting relationships+ Ability to influence others through utilization of leadership skills+ Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, including seeing the big picture and motivating others towards common goals+ Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D), goal setting, and performance tracking+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally QualificationsBasic Qualifications:+ 10 years of experience in quality, manufacturing or engineering+ Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:+ Black Belt Certification+ Strong Six Sigma process improvement knowledge and experience+ Experience with product assurance methods and quality systems.+ Experience with the quality assurance of electrical systems or products+ ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certified+ EBE Assessment Experience+ OpA Assessment ExperienceEducation:+ An undergraduate degree is required.
