This role will manage the day to day tactical, and sales focused direction of the Control, Protection & Automation Solutions product line. With a primary focus on managing the product lines opportunity pipeline this role will directly engage sales team members and leadership develop and execute strategies which will close sales opportunities. Working directly with channel teams both inside and outside of the division this role will develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to help close gaps in order to meet profit plan objectives. As an advocate for the entire product line, will support sales teams by developing relationships with key customers and perform technical presentations on our products; engaging supporting product management team members as needed. This role will interact heavily with external product managers, sales teams, channel partners, engineering teams and operations teams with focus on understanding and supporting forecasting and demand planning processes.This position will reside in the divisional headquarters building, which houses engineering for multiple product lines as well as marketing, sales, finance, and R&D. The facility was built in 2012 and boasts an open office layout surrounded by large windows, as well as 50,000+ square feet of onsite state-of-the-art laboratory space, fitness center, a basketball court, ping-pong, employee lounge, and grill and patio. With eight Eaton facilities and more than 1600 employees located in Southeastern Wisconsin, Eatons local footprint enables our employees with state-of-the-art laboratories and access to manufacturing, all while providing ample opportunities for development and career growth within region.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:+ Meet or exceed the sales billed, orders entered, profit margin and price (RPI) objectives of the product line by market segment as determined by manager in accordance with historical performance and available market data for assigned regions.+ Manage opportunity pipeline for the product line to maximize success and performance to Profit Plan. Communicate key opportunities (wins / losses / opportunities) to product line and divisional team as required. Identify opportunities to improve processes, pricing methods, etc in order to meet Profit Plan. Develop plans to support inventory goals for the product line.+ Lead external sales efforts for all NPD launches on behalf of the product line while working with sales, channel and marcomm teams.+ Support critical expedites, quality issues as needed to maintain customer satisfaction and sales goals.+ Expand the department knowledge of customers businesses, market segments and organizations. Clearly communicate the Control, Protection & Automation Solutions product line and ICD strategic plans to the sales engineering staff, field sales and customers.+ Plan, implement and execute sales and marketing strategies within Americas Region.+ Assume a leadership role in the formation and execution of sales plans with field sales through the evaluation of competitive product offerings and tactics. Drive the development of e-Tools and Bid Manager specific to product line initiatives.+ Monitor and report monthly on status of ongoing negotiations, orders entered, sales billed and negotiations lost. Report significant activities of competitive manufacturers related to products and price within assigned region(s).+ Support PLM and PMs on monthly forecasts and report market trends in a timely and efficient manner. Report new product requirements and coordinate department efforts with the Product Managers for product development as needed.+ Exhibit sound presentation skills in conducting training sessions for customers and field sales to promote the technical and manufacturing capabilities of the Control, Protection & Automation Solutions product line.+ Recommend and implement changes in procedures, policies, and methods that increase level of Customer Service and/or reduce costs. QualificationsBasic Qualifications+ Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.+ Bachelors degree in engineering or business+ 7+ years of experience motor control, automation or industrial industries which may be combination of sales and marketing roles.Preferred Qualifications:+ Demonstrated experience in achieving sales plans in a complex business environment+ Experience with working with national sales teams, OEM products, channel+ Knowledge of motor control or automation products.+ Experience working with cross-functional global teams.+ Degree in Masters in Business Administration or similar+ Candidate must have excellent communication, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.+ Ability to travel up to 25% for both internal and external meetings+ Position requires the willingness to work in a team environment.+ Position requires computer skills including Microsoft Applications.+ Strong technical aptitude.+ Must be experienced in facilitating customer meetings and delivering training presentations.We make what matters work.
