IBM's Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) manages global staffing operations and large recruitment campaigns for Fortune 500 companies.The Bid Manager is responsible for the creation of written responses to requests for proposal made by clients and prospective clients of our organization.Responsibilities:* Project management/authoring of RFx responses* Project process ownership and accountability (timeline, workshare, communication)* Coordination of bid deliverables among with sales, solutions design and legal teams* Bid qualification* Presentation deck development and process ownership* Win theme identification and development* Writing/editing/maintaining a database of question/answer pairs commonly used in proposals* Writing and editing new content* Close communication with subject matter experts who assist in solution design* Formatting, proofing, printing, shipping of completed proposals by firm deadline* Envision benefits and advantages that will help the client succeed and take ownership to execute the vision/goals to the final stage* Reinvent and create new opportunities and approaches to "go above and beyond" on behalf of client and the organization* Build trust and personal responsibility in all interactions within the organization and with the clients* Formally engages and leads large multi-disciplinary teams in developing complex bids for specific client opportunities and in developing client deliverables such as a request for information (RFI), request for proposal response (RFP), and statements* Leads client negotiations to market proposed solutions to senior client executives, including CEO, CFO, CIO, Boards of Directors, and Evaluation Committees. Acts as the single point of client contact for all activities at his/her assigned account(s);Required Technical and Professional Expertise* Deep TAO and T&T domain knowledge and the organization* Develops bid responses and proposal to create an impact for the client and the organization* Bid transformation - Making bid and sales functions more efficient while increasing win rates.* Bid strategy - Applying best practice and creative ideas to deliver innovative propositions that win bids.* People upskilling - Leading workshops to up-skill teams on the end to end bid management process.* Stakeholder management - Understanding and managing the needs of each stakeholder as well as the group.* Project management - ensuring projects are delivered smoothly.* Writing skills - Advanced bid writing focusing on messaging and storyboarding.* Pitch coaching skill and experience.* Business process understanding - Proficient at creating process maps with Visio, Modeller and Blue Works.* Fluency in EnglishPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise* BA/BS degree* At least 2 years' experience with written proposals* At least 2 years' experience with computers, including in-depth internet knowledge and working proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel.* At least 1 year experience with project management* At least 4 years' experience managing complex bids* Strong Plain English content generation and link to clear win themes linked to the solution.About Business UnitIBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world's economy.
