If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesJob Duties:Highly challenging strategic/technical and personnel management role in Systems Test & Development organization responsible for z Systems Programming Support, lab network strategy/architecture and for day to day management of the network labs located in Poughkeepsie, Austin, Rochester, Raleigh and Tucson. This includes the deployment of our next generation (Next Gen) network architecture strategy to provide capabilities to support our cloud and AI initiatives. Providing Infrastructure, z SME and Network Support virtually world wide with uninterrupted service, performance and support. Manage a team of highly skilled z and Network personnel, expanding their skills, capabilities and deliverables.Successful candidates will have experience in IBM Systems product development, test, support and/or offering management as well as knowledge of network technologies. Experience in Agile and Design Thinking practices and methodologies and managing cross functional teams in achieving business outcomes a plus. Experience with both external IBM Clients as well as internal clients with the ability to handle challenging and critical situations by driving action plans to resolve issues and restore support and production.Job Description:+ Act as a change agent to help transform our Lab Engineering across the US and Mexico, to better position our labs to deliver on business initiatives for Cloud and AI.+ Responsible for all aspects of budget, planning, strategy and capital to deploy the latest Z and Network technologies across the infrastructure - driving efficiencies and cost savings while increasing capacity and network reliability.+ Driving the incorporation of the latest z15 & zNext technologies into the Infrastructure, (IaaS), to increase. capabilities, capacity, security and performance. (ie. Cyber Resiliency/Cyber Vault, GDPS Production Protection, zNest Compliance architecture, IBM Red Hat OCP/Cloud Paks, Data Privacy Passports, and ML-Analytics on IBM z and more).+ Drive Z efficiencies utilizing the latest application modernization technologies, (DevOps Modernization on Z, Zowe, Ansible, Hybrid Cloud, Hyper Protect Services, Multi-Cloud Management and more).+ Work to expand the mission of System Lab, Network, and z Systems Support by increasing capacity to support additional world wide development and test organizations through consolidation, increased capacity, and technologies.+ Drive quality, efficiencies and cost savings through agile and design thinking practices utilizing personas, customer input, defining hills, and delivering on year to year cost savings and increased productivity.Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ 5+ years experience in product development, test, support or offering management+ 3+ years experience enabling and fostering teams in Agile and Design Thinking practices+ Should have successfully managed cross functional teams in achieving business outcomes+ Should be familiar with the z operating systems, z/OS, z/VM and the most recent Hybrid Cloud Red Hat OCP/Cloud Paks deliverables+ Should be familiar with Network technologiesPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ 3+ years of experience managing HW/SW Raised Floor infrastructure, implementation and capital planning+ 3+ years of client facing support both internal and external to IBMYou must be willing and able to perform job duties in Poughkeepsie, NY.About Business UnitIBM Systems helps IT leaders think differently about their infrastructure.
