Culture at Nutrien is the core of everything we do and all employees are respectful of diverse opinions and views.Working at Nutrien will provide you an opportunity to help us _Feed the Future,_ and grow your career.This position reports directly to the General Manager.Please apply by: **Friday, April 2, 2021****What you will do:**+ Responsible for the overall effective management of the Training Department and for providing leadership and directing the overall training strategy for the Division+ Provide leadership and direction for the comprehensive, sustainable training effort at Nutrien Lanigan+ Responsible for managing/working with a Learning Management System(LMS) and LCMS(Learning Content Management System) ensuring government and company regulations, policies, guidelines and objectives are met+ Ensure employee safety, product quality, cost effectiveness and environmental sensitivity is a focus+ Provide a daily presence and interaction with all levels of personnel at Nutrien Lanigan, while interjecting leadership and advice on matters relating to all facets of safety, training and development+ Professional liaison with Corporate training and development personnel+ Maintain relationships with vendors, outside consultants, and external training organizations+ Superior computer skills are required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access+ Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently**What you will bring:**+ 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably mining or chemicals and a minimum of 3-5 years of teaching/training experience+ Ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels within the organization (management, departments, work crews)+ Demonstrate competence and flexibility in motivating others to achieve common training objectives+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to deliver high quality and effective training personally and through direct reports+ Ability to develop a high performing cohesive team+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills, facilitation skills and computer literacy+ Advanced education in the fields of adult education and training is an asset**Are you a good match?
