Examples of projects may be new or improved nutritionals, soil amendments, crop protection and biostimulants+ Responsible for annual performance evaluations for the team, using our industry best practices people leadership system+ Foster the career development of direct reports+ Accountable for the laboratory which house these scientist+ Help create a critical mass of agronomy expertise from across groups internally and externally+ Innovation & Product Development+ Assume project lead for assigned key projects. Hands on lab work is essential. Write formal project proposals which are peer reviewed by internal colleagues. Conduct research in support of the proposal. All research is documented in formal reports+ Drive innovative solutions. Drive a balance between theoretical and empirical scientific approaches for both self and direct reports+ Stay current with relevant professional / scientific societies. Read and share journal articles with direct reports and colleagues. Lead and organize educational seminars & discussions on relevant topics+ Foster scientific exchange & collaboration with other agronomy teams within our company. Interview and hire contract research institutions when needed to supplement our internal capabilities+ Process and Knowledge Systems+ Foster the product development process and commercial support activities in the team. Manage tasks in our project management tool (Wrike). Track and drive the success of tasks assigned to direct reports+ Work closely with Project Management Office in the Innovation group. Help to define key projects and the tasks which contribute to project success. Be an active, participating member of project teams+ Accountable for organizing and improving knowledge systems related to agronomy activities (data management, statistical analysis, report archiving, etc.)+ Safety, Behavioral Standards+ Maintain exemplary laboratories in terms of safety and compliance+ Responsible for continuous improvement in the safety culture of the team+ Act as a leader and example for the companys Behavioral Standards, which focus on Safety, Integrity, Inclusion, Performance, Community and Innovation**What you will bring:**+ Ph.D. in Agronomy or related discipline preferred, Bachelors degree required+ 10+ years relevant experience in Agronomy or a related field+ 5+ years' leadership experience, either directly or indirectly managing a team of industry scientists+ Formal experience in product development for nutritionals, crop protection or biostimulants strongly desired+ Proficiency with writing & reviewing research proposals, literature reviews, research protocols, analysis and interpretation of data and report writing+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive results**Are you a good match?
