Job Summary

As a Regional Security Manager, you will be serving in a key role as the functional Area Manager for the Security Department in Alice Springs, Australia. As a Multi-Disciplined Security Officer (MDSO), you will provide contract support and direction as it relates to security for Amentum personnel, including physical security, OPSEC and other security disciplines. This position requires business acumen in managing budgets, supporting CONUS business development, or other relevant ad-hoc tasking.

The key responsibilities of the Regional Security Manager include:

  • Leads multiple security managers and a staff of nearly ~ 60
  • Develops ~$1.5M budget encompassing labor, other direct costs, and material
  • Understands and communicate all required security information to members of the Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Interfaces with Program Management, recruiters, CPSO, FSOs, and program employees, subcontractors, and new hire employees in relationship to servicing and maintaining program
  • Assist program management in understanding and implementing security initiatives and develop risk management methodologies to minimize cost while maximizing protection to the program’s most sensitive assets
  • Reports to PMO with preparation of reports and CDRLs
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
  • Develops, implements, and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company requirements on large and/or highly complex programs
  • Provides innovation and creativity into security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins, and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Manages secure construction meeting ICD/ICS 705 requirements
  • Creates clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage constraints of costs, time, scope, and quality
  • Reviews materials for proper classification and markings
  • Ability to analyze complex information, independently, take appropriate actions, and review/approve recommendations from others
  • Ensures team members know and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team members
  • Effectively manage and ensure compliance of all security-related activities per client-specific security procedures and supplemental policies
  • Ensures safety obligations are met re: (HAZOBs), Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS), Go/no go etc.
  • Demonstrates ability to uphold Security and Safety policies, challenge those observed/suspected policy violations
  • Display leadership abilities in planning, organizing, and conducting day-to-day activities

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen and possess a TS SCI with Poly adjudicated within the last four (4) years
  • Undergraduate degree or higher (in relevant field)
  • Board Certified Safety Professional – Safety Trained Supervisor – or the ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Experience in a role requiring strategic planning (project/program management)
  • Experience leading teams and team development
  • 7+ years as a Security Manager working with physical security hardware, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Access Control Systems
  • 5+ years of experience working with DCIDs, ICD/ICS 705, ICD 704 and other Executive Orders
  • 3+ years of experience working with the National Industrial Security Procedures and Operations Manual (NISPOM) and in the NISP related security programs
  • Experience as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) or Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)
  • Experience with e-Qip, DISS and ICD systems
  • Knowledge of the various security disciplines such as physical security, personnel security, information security, and industrial security to determine, apply, and monitor appropriate security requirements for assigned program
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Experience managing a 24/7 operations
  • Driver's License
  • White Card - or the ability to rapidly acquire
  • Certified GSA Safe and Vault Technician/Inspector
