What you’ll be doing...

As the Field Marketing Manager for Manufacturing, Energy and Utilities (MEU),you will be responsible for vertical marketing strategy through market development and vertical marketing programs. This will include strategizing with enterprise segment sales leaders, customers, product development and marketing teams, and technology partners. You will serve as an industry Subject Matter Expert for sales and cross-functional teams to increase customer adoption of relevant Verizon products and services through demonstration of relevance and credibility inside their specific domain of expertise. To be successful in this role, the candidate requires a deep awareness and understanding of their industry, the customer challenges and market trends, including current and anticipated innovation, Internet of Things (IOT) and transformations and must be capable of articulating that perspective in both internal and external presentations, documentation and discussions. The Marketing Lead for MEU collaborates with the sales, marketing, and product functions to ensure market and client requirements are addressed and gaps are accurately represented in our investment prioritization and solution development process.

You will define marketing and sales needs, design marketing and content strategies and coordinate efforts across our shared services organizations to execute creative, strategic programs, demand generation and event messaging. Your efforts will spark customer conversations and drive leads to sales. You will be responsible for assisting in the development of KPIs, evaluating success of your programs and reporting on results to leadership.

  • Developing, managing and coordinating vertical marketing campaigns and programs, including asset development, paid and earned media, and sales activation programs.

  • Building awareness and growing top of funnel opportunities.

  • Working with sales segment marketing leads to design sales activation programs and assets to align with current market trends, mapped to customer journey, aligned with personas, to help sales accelerate opportunities.

  • Leveraging materials to build training and engagement curriculum to help scale across segments.

  • Understanding the Enterprise manufacturing, energy, and utilities customer personae - their mindset, needs and desires.

  • Reporting out on progress of campaigns.

  • Working with minimal supervision, knowing when to bring in your manager for alignment/decisions.

What we’re looking for...

You've got a background in building relationships, project management, and B2B marketing. You've analyzed results and led marketing development across cross functional teams from conception to launch in a fast paced environment.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Work experience in B2B marketing, specifically supporting manufacturing or auto/OEM industries.

  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master’s degree.

  • Telecommunications industry experience.

  • Experience in a marketing role addressing the Internet of Things (IOT) technology space.

  • Experience with marketing within the energy and utilities industry.

  • Marketo and/or Salesforce experience.

  • Experience using creative thinking in a fast paced, results-driven environment.

  • Experience influencing and leading teams to deliver against complex initiatives.

  • Experience analyzing results, identifying gaps, and successfully pivoting.

  • A proven track record of working on successful B2B campaigns.

  • Strong content development and writing skills, with relevant portfolio and sample works.

  • Experience creating and executing successful marketing programs and campaigns, with KPI and ROI tracking experience.

  • Experience managing an operational budget for marketing programs.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for this position is between $98,800 and $183,400 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
