What you'll do

Our GES advisory professionals use their strategic consulting skills to work with our global clients to improve their global talent strategies, programs and functions. We advise our clients on how to address global workforce challenges and opportunities, whether they are business/employee experience, moving into new markets, employer compliance, scalability, cost management, shifting talent profiles or others. As a GES Manager, you will:

  • Gather information about a client's business and talent priorities; work with stakeholders to align on their vision; conduct market research to identify relevant trends and ideas; ideate on opportunities; develop implementation plans; work through change-management considerations; assess results.
  • Conduct these activities through client interviews, facilitating workshops, analyzing quantitative data, developing and socializing presentations.
  • Manage the client relationship, providing consultative services while exceeding expectations.
  • Identify engagement opportunities and coordinate with engagement leadership to deliver the breadth of Global Employer Services and broader Deloitte to the client.
  • Target and sell new and add-on services to current and target clients.
  • Supervise the daily operations of your engagement teams and their delivery of compliance and consulting services.
  • Collaborate with client engagement leaders to address budgeting, billing, management, and engagement team deployment.

At Deloitte Tax LLP, our Global Employer Services tax consultants help multinational clients develop tax-aligned compensation and benefits programs that address their international and domestic needs. Our consultants come from global compensation and benefits backgrounds and work with clients to streamline business operations while managing the scalability, risks, and costs of programs. Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, human resources, international business, finance, economics, cross-cultural studies, business analytics, or other liberal arts majors; ideally, with a related minor degree (for example, an accounting major and human resources minor)
  • 5+ years of experience in employment tax, global personal income tax compliance and consulting, global compensation, rewards, transactions, mobility consulting, and/or global talent strategy consulting
  • Leadership skills in managing client relationships and the ability to develop customized solutions to meet client needs with the ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage assignments in a team environment
  • Travel up to 10% (While up to 10% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • One of the following Accreditations:
    • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office
    • Licensed attorney
    • Enrolled Agent
    • Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR)
    • Certified Equity Professional (CEP)
    • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
    • Certified Pension Consultant (CPC)
    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available


Preferred
  • Master's degree or equivalent in the related field
  • Strong technology skills including Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, QlikView, and Tableau
  • Global experience (foreign language skills, lived/studied abroad, strong cultural awareness)
  • Able to work within large, complex engagements and work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical, consultative, quantitative, and project management skills
  • Strong executive presence, and excellent communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills with an aptitude for working as part of a global team
