Work you'll do

As a Learning and Leadership Manager within our Workforce Transformation team you will:

  • Support the development and delivery of training and performance support, including developing instructor-led or virtual instructor led training or web-training as needed, programming and testing course materials for Section 508 compliance, and coordinating training logistics
  • Gather, review, analyze and synthesize content
  • Create the course design by drafting course objectives and detailed course outline
  • Storyboard the detailed course content based on the approved outline or create instructor-led course materials (facilitator guide, participant guide, PowerPoint slides) based on approved outline
  • Conduct quality assurance of course materials and deliverables
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Assist in proposal development, as requested
  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients

Qualifications


Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources, communications, industrial and organizational development/psychology or a related discipline
  • 8 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • Prior instructional design or training development experience
  • Experience in Section 508 compliance
  • Training facilitation experience
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
  • Ability to learn new technology and translate technical information into easy-to-understand communications and training
  • Experience in training development
  • Experience developing communications materials (fact sheets, newsletters, briefing decks, etc.)
  • Understanding of training development and system design lifecycle and phases
  • Some travel may be required (While travel may be required for the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role
Preferred:

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • Advanced degree in a related discipline
