What you will do-
You will develop and execute a plan for the manufacturing operations aligned with Global Quality and Operation as well as site level strategy and leadership intent. You will understand unit business objectives and create plans for achieving targeted conditions. You will plan, manage, develop, and coordinate the activities of a unit to meet production, quality, and cost objectives. You will foster a team-based and product-focused orientation toward operational metrics. You will focus on capacity planning, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, safety awareness, and cost reduction implementation so timely, accurate deliveries are attained. You will lead other and develop and maintain a culture of performance, accountability continuous improvement and positive engagement.
Fosters proactive collaboration across functions and locations
Will identify and mitigate major production risks
P&L ownership and delivery along with regular projection and Budget creation
Develops and executes growth strategy and leads major transformation for responsible business.
Will make budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect and/or overtime labor.
Communicate regularly to all employees in the unit, the Strategy, objectives, and progress of the Unit. Can effectively communicate to all levels of the organization from production associates to senior leadership.
Can build and maintain engaged and high performing teams through engagement and empowerment of through their leaders.
Will develop and evolve an organizational structure in support of the unit strategy
Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting the performance status of the business unit and at times the site.
Builds team objectives and drives accountability and evaluates performance based on unit goals and priorities.
Coaches and develops managers, leaders, and support staff in the unit
Responsible for unit personnel compliance with company policies and corrective action.
What you need-
Bachelor’s degree technical or related curriculum. Master’s degree preferred.
Preferred experience managing teams of skilled trades, specifically machining and fabrication.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
10+ years total experience required to include 5+ years supervisory experience, with proven leadership experience in a business.
