What you will do:

Job Description

This role will be responsible for managing and developing Mako’s Insightful Data Analytics platforms and services with specific focus on implementation, operations, and delivery of ongoing analytics services. The scope includes leveraging data collected to provide value for Stryker’s internal and external stakeholders, ownership of data collection and quality assurance procedures, management of organization structure/development, and overall growth and development strategy for the IDA program. Responsibilities are to:

  • Directly manage team of customer-facing data managers responsible for data collection and analysis, presentation of key insights to hospital/ASC stakeholders, platform implementation, and ongoing customer success.
  • Own objective setting, performance management, professional development, recognition, and workflow/distribution of data manager team.
  • Develop and manage daily operations of project plans and schedules, ensuring that all project resources meet targets.
  • Manage customer data submission and quality assurance process to ensure integrity of Stryker’s proprietary joint replacement database
  • Leverage aggregate data for publication and concept development in collaboration with R&D
  • Manage vendor relationships, particularly for data processing vendors
  • Develop presentation materials for a range of internal and client stakeholders on multiple projects at once.
  • Coach and mentor project team members as needed to complete high-caliber project
  • outputs.
  • Continuously improve platform and service delivery model development to meet evolving market trends
  • Collaborate with direct reports, adjacent clinical manager team, and Mako marketing to collect VOC
  • Provide enhancement requirements for Mako’s IDA digital platforms and input on prioritization
  • Lead client engagements including onsite and follow up work alongside data and clinical management team
  • Manage team capacity, customer assignments, and workstreams and resources for internal projects
  • Obtain quick understanding of multiple business areas and client specific issues.
  • Identify potential client challenges and exercise good judgment in recommending solutions and involving leadership when effective
  • Tailor analytics services towards supporting Mako capital sales team in new system sales and ongoing Mako utilization
  • Develop industry and networking relationships to further business development including podium speaking, white paper development, etc.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and requirements to extend client lifecycle. Scope typical projects with little guidance; develop project cost and risk assessments with some guidance from the partner.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field required.
  • MBA/MHA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management/supervisory experience (prefer in sales and support function) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years working in data analytics and data visualization experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data to deliver key insights to clients and internal stakeholders required.
  • Experience working with Power BI and other data analytics tools preferred.
  • Experience with change management and process improvement preferred.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytics skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain key business relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in consulting environments with adept expertise in a range of consulting and analysis frameworks and tools.
  • Demonstrated planning, communication, influencing, and conflict management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, train, and engage direct employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage both a revenue pipeline.
  • Demonstrated experience training mentoring, and developing junior team members.
