What you’ll be doing...

You’ll help strengthen our brand and drive new sales of the Verizon Business Group (VBG) organization which targets business and public sector customers. Through social media, content strategy, content marketing initiatives, and content creation and reporting, you’ll drive traffic to our site and build awareness and engagement among potential business customers. Partnering with key vendors and agencies and coordinating closely with, Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing and CMO teams to ideate and develop social content. You will help shape strategy and implement programs that will develop website traffic and drive sales. Your efforts will put our market leading technology into the hands of new business customers that will help them run their businesses better.

  • Responsible for developing social brand strategy and writing and editing social posts for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with other departments or technical staff to ensure that the correct brand image and values are being promoted.
  • Responsible for using monitoring tools to measure the impact of social media on the company brand and website traffic.
  • Support the growth and participation of the employee social advocacy program (IamVZ) for the B2B segment, turning VBG employees into VBG advocates.(Creating a strategic/sustainable/organic program)
  • Train various members of the organization on social media best practices (L&D for social media).
  • Manage VBG’s YouTube channel - working within established procedures that include ensuring SEO optimization and Legal approval. Maintain video asset library records.
  • Working alongside other teams and business partners to help distribute social content that educates, entertains and informs the audience while supporting marketing/sales goals.

You’ll need to have:

  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of social platform experience including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Experience with social media publishing and monitoring platforms (ex. Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Dynamic Signal).
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree, even better if you have an MBA.
  • Proven capabilities and strength in writing and editing, content marketing.
  • Proven ability to review and analyze various reports to measure success, with a focus on SEO (analyzing results to uncover content opportunities).
  • In-depth understanding and experience with social media marketing, including experience writing and editing social posts, developing social media strategies, experience in both strategy and execution relative to internal social media employee advocacy platforms and external social media handles.
  • Experience in building and delivering presentations to senior managers and executives.
  • Data-driven, digital-first approach to customer engagement.
  • Experience in public relations.
  • Experience in MS Office and G Suite and Workfront.
