What you’ll be doing...

This role is responsible for strategic positioning, marketing/communications, activation, and deployment across all creative channels and touch-points within the Business Markets (Enterprise/SMB) space. This includes developing a smart and B2B-centric position for each product/service, and driving holistic marketing plans, activation programs and creative oversight to support that position. The willingness to partner with and lead key stakeholders including the Verizon Business Group, cross-functional marketing teams, insights, integrated marketing teams, and agencies (traditional, digital, and other) is a must.

Success in this role will be dependent upon the candidate’s desire to develop breakthrough creative strategies that are grounded in strong B2B, competitive, and cultural insights and an even stronger desire to manage the executional details of those ideas to near perfection. You will adapt and work in a matrixed and ever-changing environment.

  • Partner with Integrated and Field Marketing teams to develop strategic positioning, identify insights, and establish clear objectives and measures of success for truly integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Think critically about the business and what is needed from a marketing and creative perspective to meet stated objectives and achieve business goals.
  • Lead end-to-end creative strategy across agencies and CMO teams.
  • Autonomously manage multiple agencies, on all day-to-day aspects of the partnership.
  • Measure and monitor marketing and creative initiatives to determine performance and potential needs for course correction; partnering with insights, media and analytics teams to make recommendations.
  • Manage complex situations and demonstrate the ability to develop solutions to those situations with strong partnership with peers as needed, and with little oversight from direct manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Six or more years of experience in marketing strategy, creating demand and creative execution (paid media - traditional and digital) for B2B, B2C, or complex markets/audiences.
  • Six or more years of experience working with or within a creative agency/agencies.
  • General business analytical skills and ability to quickly synthesize data at the micro and macro level.
  • Creative sense to inspire and provide effective direction/input to creative and CMO marketing teams.
  • Knowledge of what is required to execute flawlessly on strong creative ideas, paired with an ability to see the bigger picture and managing the day-to-day.
  • Experience working with and managing multiple agencies and internal cross functional teams in the development and implementation of marketing plans.
  • Proven track record in the development and implementation of successful integrated communications programs for the products/services assigned.
  • Proven success in managing and leading in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to solve unexpected challenges, break bottlenecks, and challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and maintain flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong business acumen and experience with presenting to senior leadership.
