This role is part of the Corporate Affairs team at Stryker’s worldwide headquarters. As a member of the Corporate Responsibility function, this role will be a key architect and operational lead for programs and initiatives to increase employee engagement and strengthen company reputation through strategic social impact.

This person will define, develop and support company-level giving and volunteering programs, conduct research, create detailed processes to foster efficiency, manage global and local relationships with partner organizations, and measure effectiveness and ROI through data analysis. They will implement a range of activities which are designed to have a positive impact on our Corporate Responsibility strategy and in the communities where our employees live and work.

What you will do:

  • Work independently to manage social impact projects in alignment with the CR strategy, business objectives and company reputation goals
  • Develop and manage programs/initiatives, setting direction for and executing company-level project plans; accountable for projects end-to-end
  • Cultivate strong relationships with business leaders, cross-functional/divisional partners and external partners (NGOs and business partners) to maximize impact in Kalamazoo, MI, our WWHQ and globally
  • Create company-level communications and collateral (examples: e-news, town halls, Stryker.com, Connect, Comprehensive Report)
  • Support/manage the education, training, change management and implementation of global giving and volunteering technologies and programs
  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies
  • Plan and facilitate Stryker virtual and on-site events
  • Ensure consistent processes, messaging and branding for company-wide CR and social impact programs, activities and collateral materials

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in CR or related field and / or communications or related field required
  • 8+ years’ work experience in CR, sustainability / social responsibility, communications, or related area in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
  • Execution-oriented, self-starter and self-navigator who can prioritize high-value projects versus tasks in a fast-paced environment, and balance demands of multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Solution-oriented team player who can work independently, but collaboratively, in a small department within a cross-functional / cross-cultural and international business environment
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence without direct reporting structure at all levels
  • Ability to engender trust and maintain credibility internally and externally
  • Strong project management skills
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PPT
  • Highly proficient user of SharePoint and file sharing programs

  • Experience working on innovative projects and programs from ground up
  • Analytical and creative skills to crystalize details and data into simple and visually appealing presentations
