Job Description

Leadership role with responsibility for deploying manufacturing systems and managing a technical team of professional staff. Execute strategy to turn NV Manufacturing sites into factories of the future.

What you will do:

  • Manage professional team, multi-site reporting model.

  • Technical leader with experience integrating manufacturing systems and driving process improvements.

  • Manage digital shopfloor program and assist users to run their digitalization projects, providing technical and project management input where required.

  • Install, maintain, and improve digital shopfloor systems in concert such as ERP, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), SCADA, and equipment integrations/control.

  • Analyze user processes and produce user requirements, data and process flow diagrams as well as reports and recommendations for improvements.

  • Champion training, development, and career pathing.

  • Talent based management, actively promote performance management and coaching.

  • Drive and lead engagement within the team.

  • Espouse and coach problem solving.

  • Recruit and develop team members with a mix of collaborative and active learning style, technical (analytical) skills and aptitude, and functional business knowledge

  • Partner with Continuous Improvement Team and champion breakthrough digitalization solutions that support Stryker's mission, strategy and goals.

  • Manage relationships with application suppliers.

  • Develop and maintain interfaces, exports and imports, and ensure their smooth running where required.

  • Determine action steps and milestones required to implement digitalization related initiatives and processes and adjust activities or timelines as circumstances warrant.

  • Show agility and flexibility in responding to new or rapidly changing situations.

  • Increase business impact by building collaborative networks internally and externally.

  • Build positive relationships and a sense of teamwork by communicating and reinforcing openness and consistency in meeting commitments.

  • Encourage sharing talent, knowledge and expertise to achieve the best possible results.

  • Set meaningful performance objectives; specific development goals and milestones.

  • Hold people accountable for having a sound rationale and framework for taking action.

  • All other duties as assigned.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred within a Business IT or Computer Science related discipline.

  • Master’s degree desired.

  • 7+ years’ experience is required ( in a manufacturing environment preferred).

  • 2+ years of experience in Manager level role is required.

  • Demonstrated skill in integrating and implementing large scale systems is required (preferred manufacturing systems such as ERP, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and/or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)).

  • Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices is required.

  • Experience with database management is desired.

  • Familiarity with Project management principles.

  • Experience with Information Systems troubleshooting.

  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

  • Relevant professional body qualification or accreditations desirable but not essential.

Hybrid Location: You will need to live within commuting distance to our Salt Lake City, Utah or Ireland office. You will need to be in the office 2 days a week, but you will have the flexibility to work from home on the other days.
