What you will do

The downstream product manager will serve as the brand steward of the aneurysms coiling portfolio, responsible for setting global commercial strategy, developing product positioning and messaging, leading global launches, defining innovative customer engagement programs, and running the downstream aspects of the marketing mix.

  • Understand and stay current on market dynamics and competition. Create champion competitive strategies and associated positioning and tools that differentiate the core-hem portfolio and grow market share
  • Develop strong relationships with Key opinion leaders in the Hemorrhagic space and create and lead a dynamic customer engagement program.
  • Understands the needs of the primary and secondary customers, and how to articulate the value proposition to the specific audience.
  • Understands what current and potential customers need to drive value in the portfolio.
  • Escalate systemic problems that could affect customer satisfaction.
  • Set direction for, author and obtain regional cross-functional leadership alignment on key strategy documents: strategic plan, AMP, product launch plans.
  • Understands the linkages between all components of the Big Picture framework; relates upstream decisions to executional decisions.
  • Translates the marketing plan to specific marketing activities to carry out the plan.
  • Identifies and measures customer variable importance and perception.
  • Leads the value proposition development work including the following components: customer beliefs and behaviors, main and dynamic variables and reasons to believe brand value.
  • Writes target audience descriptions that reveal customer insights for the major customer stakeholders involved with the brand.
  • Correctly identifies opportunities to develop complementary value propositions for related products or portfolios.
  • Work with clinical affairs team to develop and drive strategic publication initiatives worldwide. Develop a scientific communication plan and create promotional and educational tools for internal and external audiences.
  • Develops global marketing strategy and support tactical execution of programs with the worldwide influence. As the Core-Hem therapy leader, create and drive global messaging and positioning with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders including regional marketing, clinical affairs, medical affairs, training and education and MarCom.
  • Research and integrate new marketing strategies and tactics including digital, interactive and online media. Mobile applications, AI and other creative solutions that compliment traditional tools
  • Works with a sales strategy for a specific channel, product, and market.
  • Develops new strategies, sales tools, and communication plans of various products and customer bases.
  • Analyzes sales data and identifies areas for growth.
  • Develops accurate volume forecasts grounded in an understanding of market and trial dynamics. Prepares forecasts that reflect potential risk and uncertainty.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related discipline required
  • MBA preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience required
  • downstream product marketing, commercial launch and market development experience preferred
  • 3+ years medical device or marketing/sales experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think strategically and develop frameworks and programs to help meet business objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
  • Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
  • Must be able to understand, work and thrive in a cross-division and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
